exactly the wrong thing to do. exactly what the left wants you to do so they can control white house, senate and house.

The thing to do is get independents, libertarians, conservatives etc...to join the local Republican precincts and become precinct committeemen and delegates. That is where the party power is, and that is why the establishment elite incumbents in DC never say a word about it.

starting the 3rd party only helps the absolute worst party succeed. starting a 3rd party and building its infrastructure is wayyy too tough.

ron paul was right in his strategy to reform the Republican Party, but it needs a stronger effort.
