There is NO damage consistent with an explosion strong enough to dislodge the engine. Any explosion that strong would have been very evident with an explosive damage pattern to the car. No such damage pattern exists.

The damage is consistent with the car hitting the fire hydrant and tree.

Also the Mexican guy saw it all happen and said it bottomed out after going through the intersection, lost control, and then crashed; and he said the car was going as fast it could possibly go(his interpretation).


If Hasting's car was hit by an explosive force strong enough to remove the engine, it would have caused evident explosive damage to the rest of the car. That doesnt exist. The rest of the car is almost pristine except for fire damage.

Also, he hit the fire hydrant hard enough to completely remove/break it at the ground. That a hellacious impact. The fire hydrant flipping under the car was probably what broke the engine loose.

ie. It wasnt an explosion, but a crash.


Im not saying it wasnt suspicious and/or that foul play wasnt involved. Im only saying there was no explosion that hit the car.
