yeah, think the net servers traffic would be overloaded in such a case... or taken out to prevent world panic...

also al mobile traffic would be jammed, no time to say goodbye to your loved ones, you woudn't get true...

just watching tv or radio for updates.. or get the hell out to safer places... terrible

Anyway, if a nuke went off in the US, you'd see martial law within a few hours. I would honestly stay in my home and stay calm.

If an EMP hit and rioting or looting started, I have a friend with a place on a few acres of land and no one around. Pack up my family and head there.

I would sit still and breathe deeply, sob for a moment, tell the ones I care about that I love them, and wait. Maybe I would cook my favorite meal. Death is inevitable and it's a shame that so many deaths are at the hands of these people who have given themselves the authority to take these lives. You have to accept death when it knocks, because there is no bargaining anymore.

Does it seem like there is a widespread threat of further attack, or are we downwind? If so, take family and go in the root cellar, which is not a perfect bomb shelter but far better than nothing. While we are not a major target at all, there is a military base nearby, so it's a possibility.

If not, probably just stay put (and better prep the root cellar as a fallout shelter, bring in the tomato plants, etc). The likelihood of violence if we rush out to try to stock up on stuff isn't worth it since we're pretty well stocked up already.

I live in the country in SD (no big cities or targets near me) so my location ant bad. I would get out my half g of tequila and start to consume it with my wife!

I would not go anywhere this is my home and if need be I will defend it (if I am not dead from radiation). Not much else I can do.

Check my drivers to make sure it says Alberta.

Id grab some beer and nibbles and sit back for some first class doomy entertainment!!

Probably would start drinking until I passed out. If 1 goes off then it begins. Doom for everyone.

Depends on which city. If it's the east coast or west coast I grab the popcorn: watch the show and worry about it later. If it's closer to home I rush out to my favorite restaurant for a last meal,watch the DVDs I've bought but haven't seen and try for a good night's sleep before the chaos ensues.

Panic sex!

First thing I would do is phone friends in town and tell them to get to my place.

Second thing I would do is get the hand pump on my well.

Third thing I would do is set up all the tents and get the camper ready. (couples need a place to do their business)

Fourth thing I would grab all the books off the shelf for foraging from the shelves (lots of food in the ditches and fields if you know what to look for).

Fifth test the solar panel generator for holding a charge and test the faraday cage setup, then put it back into the basement.

sixth, make sure I have all the washing buckets on hand (lots of people = lots of cleaning) and powdered detergent.

seventh, clean the clothes line. Might be the end of the world...lol whatever more like a reboot/beginning...but I'm pretty sure most families would rather be clean along with fed.

Then I would wait and see who made it.

After that...co-ordinate groups after a week to walk the highway to attempt to find survivors and render help. Rotate groups.

Meanwhile figure out clothing situation for incoming folks.

It would be like a massive camping expedition except everyone would be in shock and more than likely combating radiation poisoning.
