For the past several days, Morsi's opponents and members of his Muslim Brotherhood have been battling it out in the streets of several cities in the Nile Delta in violence that has left at least four dead and more than 400 injured.

Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood group said all the four people who died in Mansura city were its members.

...Egypt clerics warn of 'civil war' as rivals clash...

A few thousand milled around in the capital's Tahrir Square, cradle of the revolution. Some waved red cards reading "Out!", in preparation for the big demonstration against the president.

The United States, which funds Egypt's army has urged compromise and respect for election results. Egypt's 84 million people, control of the Suez Canal and treaty with Israel all contribute to its global strategic importance.

oh yes , this can ( in worst case) divide the country in 2

with around 80 million people thats not funny when a civil war would occur, then US would have to fall in here to, cause the army is funded by the us...and they have 400 troops now there and an embassy

20:15 At the Islamist protest in Nasr City, a television crew was reportedly assaulted by protesters, who tried to destroy their equipment and eject them from the Rabaa Al-Adawiya Mosque where they were filming.

In the scuffle, one of the worshippers performing dusk prayers was knocked over, and a number of people held aloft copies of the Quran while voicing objections to the assault on the crew, reported Ahram Arabic.

Although crew members apparently told onlookers they work for Al Jazeera, some of the Brotherhood supporters accused them of working for Egyptian channel CBC.
