“I want [Defence Minister] General Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to take over power,”

In another corner of the square,a banner showing the image of US president Barack Obama reads “Obama funds terrorism.”

Volunteers with the anti-Morsi ‘Rebel’ signature drive are moving around the square urging protesters to sign the petition demanding Morsi step down.

An American citizen has been killed in Alexandria, bringing the day's death toll to two.

"The man died from a stab wound to the chest, said General Amin Ezzeddin, a senior Alexandria security official. The account was confirmed by Ibrahim al-Roubi, head of the emergency unit in the Alexandria health department, and two other security officials."

Americans have been told specifically to keep a low profile starting from today, and all foreigners as well got warnings to stay away from crowds and protests. So if he's not Egyptian American, what was an American doing in the protests in Alexandria? Touristic sightseeing or something? I'm sad this happened...

Come on man, can you stay in reality? First of all, the US troops are nothing but part of the Multi National Observers Forces, they are in SINAI, nowhere NEAR Cairo or any protests. And the Embassy is in Cairo, not in Alexandria!!!! And IF someone attacks it, well, we can guess who would do such a thing, and why, and who would benefit, right???
Lets keep it real please. RIP to the 21 year old American, but why he was there where the MB HQ was torched?

Nobody can tell for sure. In general we are peaceful, both sides, but there could be some radical elements for sure who might start fighting. I believe there may be an attempt to cause major clashes by some provocateurs to bring about some sort of "controlled chaos/fighting" to get the outcome they wish. Be it a Military Coup or complete fall of the current Regime. I have faith in the Military and also the President to make the right decisions at the right time to prevent any escalations for the sake of Egypt.

If I was a "sheeple" I would be out there with the herd screaming and shouting taking some side. I look at the whole situation we are in more objective. It takes people like the "sheeple" yes to go out and make their voices heard, but also people like me who sit and watch and keep their eyes open and not get sucked into something wrong.Keep a clear head and not loose sight of what's going on and maybe help sort out the mess for some misled sheeple. I quote something that makes it very clear how I feel:

Perpetual protests are not the answer. Endless revolutions are not a solution. When you revolve too often, you’ll come back to the point where you started. You must believe in democracy, even when it does not seem to believe in you. As you head toward protest this weekend put your country above party politics.

A foreign woman was beaten up and dragged for several metres in Tahrir Square after a group of protesters were enraged when they saw her taking photos and shooting videos, according to Ahram Arabic.

According to the report, the woman was asked to leave because she was a foreigner. She was supported by other protesters who argued that she had the right to stay.

A heated verbal argument soon developed into a scuffle, which saw the woman attacked, sustaining several injuries as a result.

The group of protesters who were supporting the woman escorted her towards the Egyptian Museum in the north of the square to protect her from the assaults.

In Cairo, numbers at the pro-Morsi rally have now decreased a little from their afternoon peak of hundreds of thousands. Many demonstrators are bedding in for the night. An ad hoc decision by anti-Morsi groups to demonstrate in Tahrir Square on Friday saw a turnout of tens of thousands. Those numbers too are now dropping off, although some tents have been set up for a sit-in.
