They are in Sinai as part of the MFO, they have ALWAYS been there along with other nations, its for peacekeeping only.

See, that's for example one of those stupid rumors that kept being spread here. They're nowhere NEAR these protests, they're just there to monitor and report any violations of Camp David.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42576012

I sure hope you're right. My one and only child, my son, is with that group right now. He and 8 others are at a little guard post about a quarter mile in perimeter on the outskirts of Cairo. I sent him an email asking him how it is today but haven't heard back yet.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41283342

Outskirts of Cairo? Are you sure? If he's part of the Peacekeeping mission, he would be in Sinai.

That's the group he's part of, yes. Peace out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41283342

No way. I call shenanigans. Or he's not "disclosing". Whatever, he's not in a guard shack in Cairo. Notachance.

Egypt’s presidency will hold a press conference at Hadayek El-Qobba presidential palace at 17:30.

17:15 There is a concentration of armoured vehicles and presidential guards in front of gate 5 of the presidential palace. All the other gates are unguarded, state news agency MENA says.

Police are nowhere to be seen around the presidential palace.

The police haven't been seen for months because they've been striking, meaning staying home (and probably collecting their salaries) and I posted an article in another thread, saying they'd be joining the anti-Morsi/MB crowd.

Well, I can't say for sure because I'm not there. I just heard from him and he's okay and that's my primary personal concern. Now back to fantasizing about governments with separation of church and state.
