"The main lines of Darwin's theory were, in reality, determined by his grandfather, whose naturalist works were designed as a guide for him. Erasmus Darwin developed the basic logic that was to give form to Darwinism and expounded it in books titled The Temple of Nature and Zoonomia. It was a renewal of the ancient pagan belief that nature has creative power". - From your link

Pantheism/monism/"god consciousness"

The theory of evolution was just one big scam by those who lie and deceive, to lay the groundwork for these days. As Freemasons constantly deride Christians and yet indoctrinate the masses into their own religion through film and tv, the world's largest PULPIT. And why can people not see this? Because they view scientism as fact, not for what it largely is today - religion. The single biggest humanistic religion on this planet, dwarfing the RCC in labelling all who refuse to bow to it - as heretics.

Evolution is the theory that over a period of time, a mutation is better equipped to survive formidable nature and thus survives. The mutated animal then reproduces, spawning new mutated animals and then eventually you have a different species. I saw evolution happen in my biochem class. Darwin's theory was not flawless, but the underlying basis is correct and can be seen through out nature. I am a Christian, but I don't pick and choose what I take literally and what I don't.

Even worse when people who think they are Christians believe in evolution. Christianity isn't nationality which is automatic. Its a belief. If you think God made single cell organisms and waited billions of years for them to evolve, then am sorry, you are NOT a Christian. Read genesis 1

Re: So Darwin was a Freemason
It troubles me greatly that people can't swallow evolution; it's not at all a stretch of the imagination and can be seen in nature by simple observation. Again, take a biochem class and you will possibly see mutations happen before your very eyes.

It also rustles my jimmies that it's automatically assumed that if you 'believe' evolution you don't believe or trust God. I think evolution is, maybe, the most beautiful and multi faceted aspect of life. It shows just how complex and amazing God is.

What bothers me about Darwinism is that randomness is so heavily stressed. I don't believe it at all to be random, but very much designed - the mutations, thus over time creating a perfect symphony of "mutations", or otherwise instruments/designs to better fit the everchanging climate and environment.

I'm a Christian, and I also think evolution makes sense, the Genesis account of creation is not meant to be taken literally, and it is only the timing that would be in conflict anyway.

Freemasonry at the time of Darwin:

"their ultimate purpose forces itself into view – namely, the utter overthrow of that whole religious and political order of the world which the Christian teaching has produced, and the substitution of a new state of things in accordance with their ideas, of which the foundations and laws shall be drawn from mere naturalism."

Spooky that naturalism has now become so prevalent as a philosophy.
From it, stem the foundations of the economic rationalism that has made us slaves.
