they are really lovely people smiling. kids running happy in the park. couples kissing. I really enjoyed it. The only thing that made it less than perfect was the word duck in the title. it doesn't fit the message you are trying to give... and it seems profane to use this word around the images of the people you loved.

Yeah man, I was born in 76 and I can clearly remember when times where much better overall even in the 90's.

Now the only things we have to look forward to are more debt, more softkill and more rules to follow.

Nothing left but decline, freeloading and more control.

I was born in CA in 1960. Lived there for nearly 13 years before moving to Seattle in 1973.

I recognize those cement block walls in the backyards. They surrounded our entire backyard. Every house in our neighborhood had them. We could hop on those walls and walk all over the place and never touch a street.

We'd play all day and com home in time for dinner. Mom knew we were safe. We'd ride our bikes all over town and in the desert. We'd catch snakes and tarantulas and lizards and scorpions. We just stayed away from the rattlers. I recall being in first grade, and we had a "lesson" one day on what to do if we were walking to school and saw a rattler. Nowadays parent just drive there kids to school to avoid all the "dangers". And the life lessons that go with learning how to avoid them...

What struck me was how young and beautiful the moms were in your film. I was an older mom and I do regret that I waited so long and that mine and all of the other kiddos nowadays have to have such semi-hags for mothers. Every little girl and boy should be able to think that his/her mommy is pretty.

I try as yard as I can to provide a lifestyle similiar for my family, but there is no way to fully insulate from the modern world.
Anyway, that video made my day. I'll be thinking of that while Im watching my kiddos at the lake today. Good old fashioned family time.

Sorry Grandpa the world has moved on and changed. But it is an understandable situation. The elderly in the 60s probably hated all the new crap and yearned for the world to return to the way it was in the 1890s when they were kids.

Someday I too will probably complain about all the damn kids and their silly useless technology and loose morals.
