Japanese Troops To Drill Beach Invasion At Camp Pendleton

Largely in response to China’s growing military might — including the acquisition of its first aircraft carrier last year — Japan has been buying amphibious landing craft and beefing up training for potential conflicts in or around small islands. Japan is also repositioning its troops to better monitor and defend its southern borders and sea lanes.

In September, a small group of Japanese soldiers practiced bombing maneuvers and joint command training with U.S. Marines and sailors in Guam.

The San Diego exercise marks the first time the country’s troops will travel aboard warships so far from home, and members of Japanese air, sea and ground forces will train together with the U.S. military,

My dad trained at Camp Pendleton right before sailing off to rout the Japanese off of Palau.

He must be turning over in his grave right now...

watched these amphibious assaults many times online, i still don't understand why the corps isn't using the am tracs loaded with the high speed ski's that were shown on future weapons in 2009, they go up to 48 mph way faster then these slow snales can go , and they are way above the water line instead of risking the entire crew sinking and dying , and leaves the enemy nowhere near the amount of time to prep .. powers that be just don't give a fuck , seems like they want the whole u.s. military industrial complex to fail these days .. fighting useless wars men dying for no reason at all fuckin bullshit
