Guess you are the same one that buys into the whole "Cholesterol causes clogged blood vessels" shtick. Look into Gluten and its effect on inflammation. Cholesterol serves a normal function in the body and transports fatty acids to the blood vessels to fend off inflammation. You NEED animal fat to use as energy. Carbs/Sugars as energy is just plain inefficient and makes you gain weight.

On a slightly different note, the price of bacon has gone through the roof lately. $7.00 a pound for just regular old bacon, not even the slab kind. That really sucks considering I put bacon and/or bacon fat in everything.

ETA: And no, I am not overweight nor is anyone else in my family. Sugar and carbs make you overweight, not fat and protein.

And if you don't think that's the shits (thread topic) at my place of work we have one muslim woman. I dig her to pieces far as I know her, she's ok. We've had some great chats. BUT...(yes, BUT!!)....we recently got the OK to have music in our work areas after years of it being forbidden. I was talking to her manager about how great it was to have the radio on in the office - her response was that this woman wasn't allowed to listen/hear to music during ramadan. So, I googled ramadan. A whole month? Seriously? I'm supposed to make sure this woman doesn't hear music coming from my office for an entire month because it's a distraction during her holy days?? Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that make going to work and being distracted by work related duties also distract her from communing with her god?

You can't argue this shit, HR gets involved and well, you're the bad guy.
