Just read the word.. Do not judge. This was not started as a hate thread... It was started as a place where a man simply stated that he understood the state of things, has been there, and was simply here to expose the lie of church.... Don't make this an ugly mess...

THE TIMING OF THE URANTIA BOOK

(Generally designated as)

The Publication Mandate

"We regard the Urantia Book as a feature of the progressive evolution of human society. It is not germane to the spectacular episodes of epochal revolution, even though it may apparently be timed to appear in the wake of one such revolution in human society. The Book belongs to the era immediately to follow the conclusion of the present ideological struggle. That will be the day when men will be willing to seek truth and righteousness. When the chaos of the present confusion has passed, it will be more readily possible to formulate the cosmos of a new and improved era of human relationships. And it is for this better order of affairs on earth that the Book has been made ready.

"But the publication of the Book has not been postponed to that (possibly) somewhat remote date. An early publication of the Book has been provided so that it may be in hand for the training of leaders and teachers. Its presence is also required to engage the attention of persons of means who may be thus led to provide funds for translations into other languages....

Sooner or later another and greater John the Baptist is due to arise proclaiming “the kingdom of God is at hand” — meaning a return to the high spiritual concept of Jesus, who proclaimed that the kingdom is the will of his heavenly Father dominant and transcendent in the heart of the believer — and doing all this without in any way referring either to the visible church on earth or to the anticipated second coming of Christ. There must come a revival of the actual teachings of Jesus, such a restatement as will undo the work of his early followers who went about to create a sociophilosophical system of belief regarding the fact of Michael’s sojourn on earth. In a short time the teaching of this story about Jesus nearly supplanted the preaching of Jesus’ gospel of the kingdom. In this way a historical religion displaced that teaching in which Jesus had blended man’s highest moral ideas and spiritual ideals with man’s most sublime hope for the future — eternal life. And that was the gospel of the kingdom.

The celestial beings call their architectural world... New Jerusalem.

Urantia Connection

Michael says in one of the recordings:
Truthfully, The Urantia Book was introduced to me
on the Mothership near the planet Saturn by a very human looking individual
who saw me seated in bewilderment and confusion. He simply said, "You look confused.", I said I was. Then he said, "Well then, on Earth there is a book that helps explain what is going on here." Then I said, "Oh you mean the Bible."
Then he said, "Yes, that book has some of it, but it is not that book,
it's called The Book of Earth or The Urantia Book."
Later he sat with me and explain the seven psychic circles,
the work of the God's fractal and introduced himself as a Daynal.
I got him confused with the prophet Daniel but he corrected me, he said
he was a teacher. There is much more that he taught me, most is in
The Urantia Book, some is in the Bible.

I was raised in the church and turned away from God in my teens and early twenties for all the reasons you stated here. :(

I got lost in the New Age and God convicted me and brought me back to him. It's been almost three years now and I've done more Biblical study a week than I work at my job lol. I find it sad too that I would say 90% of my beliefs are in stark contrast to the organized church because I simply do not see their doctrines supported in the Bible. Most of it is man's traditions, man's ego and pride, man's greed. I had to totally empty my mind of what was indoctrinated into me as a child to see clearly what was being taught in the scriptures. And let me tell you, it is a beautiful, redemptive, and powerful story. :)

Re: Christians... The church is dead.
Christ came for a threefold purpose into this world. To share the manifest glory of God in the flesh. To teach and lead by example the way of righteousness and humility, and finally to be condemned and rejected for the sins of the world. The church today has become a far cry from these initial precepts of faith. It is a rotten corpse that scarcely resembles anything truly "Christian". Today it is about "feeling" not faith. A typical church today is concerned with attendance and green paper. They achieve the first by spouting a hollow, generic "feel good" message that tip-toes on scripture like a robber in your home. They maintain the second by reminding you of your destination if you falter from THEIR definition of faith. Any true Christian today should be not only disgusted by the wickedness of the world at large... It should abhor the very four walls that have the audacity to call themselves a church in the first place. I instead call it a God rackett. Apostasy has set in like gangrene... Listen to any radio "ministry" you can always get the pastors message for a donation of X... God's word and message are the good news... Free to all who have ears to hear. Do you think when Christ sent out the apostles by 2's that after telling them NOT to take a coat... No money... No staff... That he finished with "and make sure you extort those who listen... You know to maintain your ministry". The fact that those who are proclaimed Athiests or agnostic have such a hard time digesting the truth of the word does not surprise me... The typical "Christian" today is a joke... A person who likes to compare clothing on Sunday. A person so brainwashed by religion they don't even know what they believe. Walking in Jesus is not easy... And defending the faith is even harder. I was saved because God found me... Not because I was pressured to walk forward to a pulpit. I haven't set foot in a "Church" in over 15 years... And you won't find me in one until we all make an account of our lives before God himself.

I guess you missed reading this part of the Gospel:

Luk 22:35 And he said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said, Nothing.
Luk 22:36 And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet; and he that hath none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
Not that I don't entirely agree, that there are to many charlatans and to much greed going on.
Yet there is a place for donations to the church and to pay for a pastor.
Ministries that pay their leaders in the 6 figure bracket are a problem. So are any non profits, like Goodwill Industries that pays similarly, though.

Not all Pastors or Ministries are in it for the money, but it has corrupted many a man and ministry.

Re: Christians... The church is dead.
Study the Book of Revelation you should understand that the Church is the Bride of Christ and He is coming back to a pure Bride SOOOOOOOO:

1 - The current bride is rich and lukewarm. They have a false form of holiness BUT NO POWER

2 - What did he say about that in the beginning of Revelation ? HMMMMMM Something about SPITTING THEM OUT ....

3 - You see He can't raise up a pure bride with the old apostate bride still around to corrupt the new, pure bride. SO THE OLD BRIDE HAS GOTTA GO (hint 4th seal)

4 - This is why is THE LORD is allowing all this to happen. The old bride is being tested and will not stand. The AC also has this job. He will keep the new bride PURE.

Do not worry about this problem. It is under control and the Lord will do what He has to do. Just make sure that when your Church starts doing gay marriages (an abomination in the temple) you RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Christians... The church is dead.
OP,

In a typically deep and revealing way, Christ said,

"And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

Again, Christ said, when he returns, will he find any faith- will he find any still faithful remaining among the men on earth?

In other words, Christ himself was saying that there will be fewer and fewer until there aren't that many left that truly believe when he comes back. I don't know about you, but I can see that coming soon.

What do you think?

I felt such an outpouring of love for you reading this.

You could be me.

I don't know why God grabbed me out the cesspool that was my life...I know I've done very little with it since He did.

I still struggle with so much. I find more comfort and acceptance in a bar than church.

But I truly do love God, LOVE Jesus! I'm terrified of what's coming and feeling very very alone and unable to find one person who claims to be a Christian to even talk to about this stuff.

Anyway...I love you for your honesty, your nakedness.

That's what it's all about. God bless you.

You took Scripture out of context! Here is the rest of it:

37“For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, ‘AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS’; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment.”38They said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.

...and read everything before it. Jesus remarked as to His Father meeting their every need when He sent them out. In their figurative speech, He was telling them to buy protection if they had the money for it, but they already had two swords, so it was not necessary. He was trying to prepare them for His capture. They did not need physical swords, since the battle was and is in the spirit (the truth is the only sword we need).

The main problem with religion is people assume they know what Yahveh wants but they never ask Him and WAIT for the answer. These churches are not teaching people they should hear from the Lord themselves or about worshiping at the throne properly. Why should non-believers be interesting is a spiritually dead and deceived faith?

OP, do not worry. The numbers of people coming under His true grace is growing and will be powerful instruments He will use to do what men have failed to do. All of this was foretold in the Scripture, but the blind do not see it.

All we have to do is seek His will and do it. It is that simple.

Re: Christians... The church is dead.
I was just going to post a thread " why know one goes to church anymore"

Logged in and thank you for posting!

Haven't gone in years , not going back!

I don't see one pastor in this nation telling it how it really is!

Well? Maybe one in Scottsdale AZ, he goes around terrorizing cops and Government authorities , he has videos up on dork tube!

If Pastors decided they were not afraid anymore and started telling it straight people would come back!

Some one posted above about Christians being afraid of this or that?

Behold .......I was born on April,19 1974 that was Easter Sunday , my mother was hit by a car and forced into labor ........I fear nothing

Thank you for posting this thread, I agree the Church is dead but " Christ" is still King!

The only time i go to church is when the circumstance puts me there. There is nothing new to learn from the church, and i feel that the majority of the people who go also have a "I'm holier then thow" complex. I have learned all i need to know and no longer feel that it has anything to teach me. I harbor no hatred towards those who chose to go but choose not to myself.

I deeply feel this is a honest thing in the modern world that The church is dead. it has been dead for such a long time because people that follow it, are doing exactly the opposite whats in the bible but they claim to be Christians

Indeed. One of my favorite quotes is something along the lines of "Religions are playpens designed to keep us out of trouble until we mature enough to climb out and walk with the Father"

Never heard that before but i definitely agree.

I heard an analogy that used the training wheels on a bicycle. You need them to get started, but one day you don't need them and they just fall off.

^^^^ THIS ^^^^

When I visit the USA, Sunday Mass, is my health insurance.

After the 4th seal is finished all Churces will have to do communion weekly to protect their members from radiation poisoning caused by a whole continent being nuked into a slagheap.

You think Fukushima is bad now, just wait and see...

Nothing more then a Satanic ritual at best. It completely goes against the words spoken by the Savior Himself, it is over and finished! Yet, you're blood thirsty cult formed by Constantine made it into a Pagan Ritual.

Breaking of bread is only suppose to occur on Passover. What celebration/Feast was Christ celebrating that night? Passover, duh!

Christ was and is the new covenant, the Passover Covenant, duh!

The blood is the spirit and the body is the Word! The Roman Church changed it into the sac religious Pagan Act of perpetual death. Anyone with an IQ over 45 can see this.
