Quoting: cosmicgypsy i do just fine with a landline, but your right a phone is not a need its not a power bill or water bill... but plenty of people can find work without a phone.. matter of fact your probably better off trying to get a job with out a phone that means youll try and talk to people and not just do applications, youll say can i speaker to supervisors or bosses... and if its such a fancy job that you cant speak to people at all and need to wait on emails or phonecalls..then if your not finding work there then you need to go below what your used to...dont say damn i have no food i eat dog food i cant get anybody on wallstreet to call me back.. you betetr hit up the burger king.. im saying i dont pity people like that "aint no time to be sitting around cryin like a buncha pussies"-Hushpuppy "Girl ill make you cream like a Moonpie in the microwave"-Me-Allen |

And I never said a phone is not a neccessity. I also don't see what difference it makes if the phone is mobile or landlined, either come with cost. There's no landline here, yet there are phones all the same. You never change things by fighting the existing reality. cosmicgypsy User ID: 36357210 United States 06/29/2013 08:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Because times are so very hard for too many these days it's not a huge stretch for me to believe most of the threads where people are talking about their hunger or homelessness. I was homeless myself last year. Now, as far as genuinity in posting goes: Some people can tell when a poster is being genuine in what they're posting. GLPers are pretty good at smokin' out scam artists. You see, I can tell you're being genuine in what your posting about, how you feel about it. I didn't notice any ingenuiousness nature in any of the recent "reaching out" threads. Apparently, neither did a lot of others. I'll tell you what, though, where (specifically) trust is concerned?...I'd trust the person who manages their life without thinking of it in terms of pity. I'll bet you that people who are helping others out with pizzas, gift cards, prayers, are doing so out of a sense of care and compassion, and pity has little to do with it. Pity stems from an ignoble ego, and that kind of care for another stems from a rich heart. At any rate, I wasn't going to post on this thread anymore after my last post...so, yeah, have a nice day.
