"Start today to collect experiences and not things" ~ What does freedom mean to you?
Summer comes and goes way too quickly here in Michigan and this year I don't want to be left with
a "I should have done list" at the end of the season.

So, I have been very busy the past couple of weeks trying to simplify my life by getting rid of all the stuff
I've accumulated over the past few years.

As I continue to unload my "crap", I took a coffee break to watch the motivational video posted below.

There is much truth in what he has to say in regards to the construction of our lives
and the unnecessary "things" we accumulate.

Interestingly, as we approach another anniversary of our country's freedom,
Adam poses a question in the beginning of this video - "What does freedom mean to you?"

Freedom means something different to everyone.

For many it means being free to walk and choose for themselves the path in which they desire to go.

Watch what freedom means means to Adam and his family here:

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

Re: "Start today to collect experiences and not things" ~ What does freedom mean to you?
As a true follower of Christ, the Holy Spirit brings to mind my freedom that occurred when
Jesus became not only my Savior, but also the Lord and Master of my life.

I guess you can consider that as still being in bondage, but is a bondage in which I willingly choose to become a
servant for Christ because through Him I am set free from being a servant to the world, the flesh and the devil.

The Law is no longer my master, I am no longer a slave to sin.

My bondage to Christ has set me free from my bondage to sin -- and without Christ, sin reigns in the heart.

True freedom begins in the heart. True freedom is only achieved when our hearts are changed.

What good is it to remove all the "crap" if your heart has not changed?

Eventually it will only accumulate again.

The heart is corrupt and desires to make evil choices even though it knows the morally right choice to make.

Our thoughts, our behavior, what we say and how we act are all tainted by our sinful nature.

Without Christ, you serve sin, the devil, the Law or yourself.

If you are in Christ, sin has no dominion over you. You will still have temptations, you will still have to choose
between what is right to do and what is wrong, but you have been given a new life and a Holy Spirit-filled heart
that will bring about different desires and thoughts that are pleasing and glorifying to God.

Christ in you!!
That is an amazing reality that happens once you've been born again.

Your old self is crucified with Christ on the cross, and YOU NO LONGER LIVE, but CHRIST LIVES IN YOU!

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
And the life, which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

Christ rules my heart.

Freedom came when MY WILL was slain.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:1

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17

That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption
and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Romans 8:21
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

Me too, Koffee! I am determined to get rid of stuff this summer. I have vowed to fill the trash can before I put it out and sell something on craigs list every week.

I want to be able to eventually live in an RV.

I believe I will feel better without so much stuff.

What do I do with my kids (they are grown now) trophies?

Did you watch the video?

When he spoke about the storage units it reminded me of the time we were in transition as to what state we wanted to
live in.

We left Florida and decided to travel along the east coast and combine pleasure with plans--plans to buy a home.

Our travels brought us to Maryland where we stayed in a hotel for approximately 2 months. During that time we discovered the job
situation wasn't promising for my husband and at the advice of a friend we came here to Michigan.

It was the beginning of winter and, surprisingly, the rental market was busy and competitive. We ended up
living in a hotel for 6 months before finding a suitable home to rent.

Anyways, to get to the point, all our home furnishings and belongings that had followed us from Florida up to Maryland
we decided to put in storage in Maryland until we got situated in Michigan.

We paid for that storage for almost 2 years--what a waste of money that was! By the time we were able to go back to
Maryland to pick up the stuff, we didn't need much of it anymore. We didn't want to pay for another storage unit,
so most of it ended up in my basement and eventually it was sold, given away or trashed.

Why so we accumulate so much stuff?
Why do we hold on to things that we don't have any use for?
If I were to die today, it wouldn't be coming with me and I
know my sons would probably just throw it all away.

As for the trophies, I would probably ask my kids first what to do with them.
Then read this and see if it offers any good advice:

Whatever makes you happy Koffee, but believing in a fairy tale isn't my version of freedom. Why don't you learn about the direct translations of the original books of the bible commissioned by the vatican, by Mauro biglino.

The book you think is the "word of god" has been translated over and over, and censored and misinterpreted by families over the centuries (king james, Merovingian).

We were created, but not by A god. We were created by GODS, and there was no original sin. We didn't need a savior.

Well, if reading and studying what I believe to be the inerrant Word of God results in a positive renewal of my
heart and mind, a renewing that has revealed LOVE, that teaches me to die to my SELF, but most importantly, reveals
to me all that I need to know about my CREATOR and shows me the only way back to Him, then I think I will just stick with
the Bible.

It is Truth that TRANSFORMS.

Peace be with you.

this resonates. its exactly how i feel.

After the astral projection i had, this is how i feel, i just needed that specific catch phrase that would trigger it!

Thank you very much!
To live is to believe in the power of dreams! To dream is to believe in the power of love! To love is to Know the truth!
The Desire to Be fuel the belief that you Are which ignite the Will to Become which bring back forth the desire to be...
Let it be-come you! It means Stop seeking your higher self! It is seeking you! Stand still in your mind to calm the waters of your mind and then it shall find you, so you can ride those waves together!
your true self lies somewhere between your heart and your consciousness. It is called the heart consciousness, which is the creator, which is you!
The heart create the emotions and our mind evoke its purpose, from which we dream the life we live in order to imagine the nature of reality and finally remember love!

The highest Purpose of our mind is the ability to Forget! Go on and Forgive yourself!
There is no love in truth but there is truth in love!
Be authentic, nobody else can do it for you!

As for trophies...if the kids are graduated from high school give them their own trophies and stuff!

For me, I have chosen a few awesome childhood drawings that really resonate with me and I frame those and actually display them in my home.

I have one trunk of "special things" from my son and it's a little trunk...like a 24 x 24 box. I have one plastic bin of special baby clothing that he will take with him when he graduates college if he wants them for his own kids one day (he probably will, he's sentimental).

I have about 4 small boxes chuck full of photos. It's my dream to scan those and make them digital.

I love de-cluttering and I have gotten rid of so much in the past few years. It felt awesome to drop my bridal gown at Goodwill after 20 years! :)

Yes, I have a plastic bin filled with sentimental items that I have put aside for my sons, too. Baby clothing, pictures,
lock of hair, hospital and medical info - they all hold special memories, unlike all the other usless junk that is
just sitting around taking up space and calling out to be dusted.

It does feel good to get rid of it.

contractor bag of crap into the trash each week, that will be progress.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, " says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:7

Re: "Start today to collect experiences and not things" ~ What does freedom mean to you?
I was born on Earth and Water which is REQUIRED to sustain my body, and found out that Earth and Water are being withheld from me unless a dedicate 40% of my life to an entity of power, prestige, and glory over my life called government. Then charge hundreds of thousands of dollars for the privilege of placing my name on a yearly rental agreement with the government of two to twenty thousand dollars, or they take it away from me to rent it to someone else.skull_fing
