Bizarre photo of anonymous spec forces soldier. What is this thing? | |

Quoting: Ford Prefect [link to www.petpeoplesplace.com] [link to axsoris.com] or could be a bio-android... [link to imageupper.com] Okay yeah there's no way he's wearing some kind of face sock underneath his green balaclava. You can see his nostrils in that zoomed in picture. Cool your jets OP, I didn't say it was a "face sock", I said it COULD BE a kevlar mask. But I agree, a mask beneath another mask doesn't make sense. We can see the bare skin of the other soldier's wrists, but the subject discussed here, has a black sleeve covering his arms. But as long as I'm no expert in military gear, I won't push it too far, but the bio-android hypothesis is a go. Ah, sorry Mr. Prefect. I should have been more clear. I quoted you because you provided that zoomed in picture. And I was beginning to doubt myself that this guy looks abnormal. And the "face sock" thing was from someone else's reply, which I think is totally bogus. |

OP, THIS IS THE ANSWER RIGHT HERE: He's wearing a mask. Its a white, face-shaped mask that goes over your face. Some of them are skeleton masks, some are just generic human-like contoured white masks. They were really popular (and still are) with spec ops operators in Iraq and A-Stan because of the perceived "infidel/white devil/psychological warfare/intimidation" mystique they wanted. It also serves the purpose of identity concealment, especially on missions where you have to capture an HVT or any target for that matter. You don't want anyone to recognize your face or to be seen on any surveillance footage. Okay thanks, that is a very articulate reply. I'll go with this then. Thank you, sir. |

You see no human skin on this "guy". Unlike the guy next to him. There is no way the guy is covered from head to toe in that much fabric, he'd overheat, sweat, and he'd be exhausted in no time. Its clearly a damn android, perhaps like some sort of remote operated drone-android. But its not human. |

If you zoom in on the guys face you can see that he is not wearing a mask under the goggles. At least I cannot see any definition between a mask and his skin like there should be if he was wearing one. What weirds me out is the spacing between his eyes, it looks huge and abnormal. His eyes also look like their are sunk into his head. Dude definitely does not look normal. |

It also helps to keep the goggles from fogging up with the condensation produced by your forehead. Just because you have your nose outside of your goggles doesnt mean they wont fog up when you work up a sweat. |

Take notice of the man on the left. His face is extremely odd; it doesn't even look human. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the hell is going on with his face? I was just bored, waiting for a friend to get online, and decided to browse pictures on Google of various military dudes and gals, and came across this. I have have no Photoshop skills nor the skills to edit photos. Notice his extremely pale skin as well as the enlarge brow and spacing between the eyes. LOL SEAL shapeshifters! |

There is no fucking way that dude is wearing a mask under his goggles. Unless it's some sort of new type of mask that seamlessly molds to the compound curves of your face while leaving no visible lines on your face. Zoom in on the dudes eyes, if he was wearing a mask your should see lines around his eyes where the eye opening of a mask would be, but there are none there. In the picture the area under the goggles is smooth like skin, with no mask lines anywhere there should be if he was wearing one. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42547969 I can see his left eye underneath what looks like sun shade inside the mask. Like the little sun guard on a motorcycle racing helmet, but it's inside the goggles. |

If indeed the guy has a mask on under his goggles, why would he wear another one to cover the lower half of his face(the green balaclava)? Doesn't make sense for the guy to be wearing two masks. |

Not sure what's up with his nose. I am seriously laughing my ass off at those who think these guys are hybrid alien test soldiers and am laughing even harder now because I will definitely be called a shill. But if you zoom in you can clearly see there is some type of vizoe covering his forehead. |

It comes up from the middle and goes around the guys eyes. Seriously it is flesh colored but it is distinctly different from his face, that is why his eyebrows aren't there and his eyes look sunken back. Its really strange because it looks like he would not be able to see up. I wonder if it's some sort of display like a google glass type thing that doesn't cover the main part of his vision. Or some strange visor. It is clearly seperate from his face. |
