To the dude who this thread was addressed to: when a lady is telling you that she loves you and hasn't met you, see that as a serious red flag. Don't delude yourself into thinking someone loves you just because you have skyped eachother for two years. This is indicative of someone who has borderline personality disorder (not to be confused with bipolar disorder).

Borderlines have abandonment / attachment issues, and they delude themselves into thinking that love over the internet is real. But in reality, they are the most vicious creatures you could ever meet and will turn your world upside down and leave you a shadow of your former self.

I met my love on a forum online. It took two years before we were united. We are still together 9 years later. We knew even before we met that we loved each other.

Have you met him in person yet?

Look man, I'm not saying an online friendship can't turn into a real happy relationship, but all this talk about love and marriage is bullshit. You have to meet someone and get to really know them in order to be able to love them.

I'd never tell someone I loved them or wanted to marry them if I hadn't met them (no matter how much we skyped eachother). If someone started that with me, I'd see it as a red flag and be extremely cautious.
