A couple observations from "The Men That Built America" tonight on History Channel....
Being a history buff, I watched a couple of the "The Men That Built America" on History channel tonight and thought a couple things were pretty interesting. First, I am well aware that something like the History channel is NOT going to show the real history, or anything else too controversial. But knowing that if you want the real history of events in this country, you must go to many different sources and piece things together on your own....that being said, it was put together in a pretty decent way.

However a couple things popped out right away, and wondering if anyone else was watching and noticed the first thing that seemed odd... All of the people interviewed for the show (Trump, Mark Cuban, etc.) all had pitch black eyeballs!!! I know that sounds strange, but a few interviews in and I couldn't help but notice. The lighting seemed fine in their interview, but all of their eyes were completely black and you could not tell what their natural color was! All the other coloring was fine except for each of their eyes....all black!!

The other thing that was amusing was when they got to the part where Rockefeller was in court and found guilty of starting a monopoly with Standard Oil. After the trial (I believe in 1911), it showed how Rockefeller, Carnegie, Mellon, etc. began to go gently into their older age and all became interested in giving all their money away through their charitable donations. They convieniently forgot to mention how these men met in secret to hatch the Federal Reserve banking system, and removed all/most of their taxable wealth through foundations and trusts! One of the most important financial structures that for good or bad (mostly bad!), was enacted for the United States is not even mentioned....a major institution that these men put in place.

Granted, not shocked at all with the non-mention of the Fed, as this goes over most people's heads anyway! But interesting to see how easily history can be manipulated and misinterpreted. The sad thing is most American citizens will watch something on the History channel and take everything as gospel. When you mention the contributions these men made into enacting the Fed, they look at you as crazy, or that great phrase.."a conspiracy theorist!"...History is indeed written by the victors...

Are they trying to sway public opinion about these men or what? Maybe trying to say that only the rich built this country? This country wouldn't be great without them? When it's just the opposite?

It seemed their angle was to show that their vision is what built the America we know now. It just focused on their businesses and how they were built. Of course knowing a little bit more about history than the average person, it became very obvious how they were completely ignoring the banking system these men put in place to enslave the country "they built", and did it in complete secrecy. And while scheming to put the Federal Reserve system in place, set up endowments and foundations to shield their taxable income, while making sure all us Americans will be forever enslaved by our salaries, purchases, and breathing in their companies!
