I do not know if it can be inherited.
I would say not. For each must chose
his/her path on their own. It's a choice
one must make on their own.

In my case, it was not inherited.
I asked God in prayer for mine.
And my prayer was answered :)
But I am not religious and do not
adhere to any organized religion,
yet I strive for a good clean life
with a pure heart and seek knowledge
and foresight and it eventually
happened. But there is much I have
yet to learn about the gift bestowed.
