to be a honest, i find this four fold division a little confusing

i'll try to rephrase it in the seven-fold division

kama - is for sure referring to 2nd chakra
artha - comprises both 1st and 3rd chakras
1st - enjoying of material comforts
3rd - enjoying power, control and authority over other human beings - be it one's children, spouse, employees, spiritual followers, students etc

dharma - seems to put together 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th

which is interesting if you correlate to this:

"Thus, in order to reach true immortality and to achieve a conscious manifestation on all planes, that is, to become an Arhat, a Buddha or a Dhyan Chohan, man must connect the three principles (the fourth, fifth and seventh) here on Earth and merge them together, precisely in the sixth principle. The seventh principle is just the eternal vital force which exists throughout the whole Cosmos. Therefore, perhaps it would be better to say: Absolute Intelligence and Perfect Heart, being one and the same Origin, correspond to the higher aspect of man, wherein his spirit, intellect, and all his feelings are fierily transmuted and are centralized in the heart - in short, when the intellect becomes a heart and the heart becomes an intellect. With this understanding the reader will be able to avoid many perplexities. "

as for Moskha, it is hard for me to understand it as the Greatest Spiritual Motivation

rather, it is an exoteric confusion of the Real Path of Buddha, Christ and so on
which were all committed to the Bodhisattva Path

it would be very ironic if all those waiting for all kinds of raptures and/or end of the worlds
would be the Greatest Spiritual Achievers :)


also if you look to the Seven Spirit of the Churches metaphor in revelations,
the Church of Thyatira is clearly connected with Kama in the above division
and surely one can classify all others in respect to basic motivations
