Hardworking dad faces deportation for smoking pot, 17 YEARS AGO

Gotta start somewhere.

I had to move to So Wisconsin for awhile a few years ago. I tried to get a drivers license all legal like. The TWO people I dealt with wouldn't let me have one without my original birth certificate. I was adopted and all I have is an old beat up photo copy. Then, I had to have proof of my address. My family's owned land there since 1939 in a very rural area. Mail doesn't get delivered there, you have to drive miles into town to a PO Box so that was out of the question.

BOTH of the people at the motor vehicle office could barely speak English. They sounded middle eastern or something indiscernible.

Imagine that. MY family owned land there for over 70 years and a couple of people from other countries who can't even speak our language deny me a drivers license. I blew it off and sold the property and moved anyway.

GREAT folks there though. Whenever someone gets sick, injured or a house burns the whole town pulls together to help like I've never seen before. Food, clothes, benefits at restaurants and parks, donating time and equipment to help rebuild or renovate houses for someone who's handicapped.

You can't buy alcohol to take home after 9 pm unless you pay 4x the price for carry-out at a saloon. So you're forced to go out to a bar and drink if you don;t have a stash. Kind of weird. Where I was everyone, I mean everyone drinks from breakfast through the day and they call you a "doper" if you don;t drink but smoke weed.

Timofeev, 35, was taken in handcuffs to the Milwaukee office of ICE, where officials told him he had "abandoned" his citizenship petition and was going to be deported because of marijuana possession convictions in Dane County dating back to 1996. He was allowed one call and was then taken to Dodge County Detention Facility in Juneau.

The last time he got busted was 1999.
He did his time.
Besides, nobody does time for 2 joints, but he did.

No trouble at all in the last 14 years, and just now they decide to destroy his family by deporting him.

The crazy thing is that if he came into this country illegally, he wouldn't be kicked out. None of the illegal aliens with drug conviction are being kicked out.

All he has to do is go to Mexico, become a citizen then illegally enter the US and he's free again.

I just signed, sign it guys! The pain you have to go through to sign a little petition is nothing compared to what this guy is going through. Let's get it over 500 and give GLP a good name!

Normally I would strongly object to his deportation. But two years from now when the USA has been glassed, he will be thankful that his dumb conviction saved his life and hopefully his family's too.

Have you ever traveled across the border as a Mexican? It's like the SS interrogating you - they certainly don't make it easy nor do they roll out the red carpet. Now, those who pay "coyotes" thousands of dollars to sneak them into the US ILLEGALLY through a desert or swimming across the river literally risk their lives and many get deported back right away upon being found, those are the people who are here illegally doing the jobs most Americans are too good to do,(such as pick fruit in fields, pick up trash, wash dishes in Asian diners, etc.) - those are the ones who, once they are here, apply for and receive all kinds of benefits. Just like the blacks, I guess, except most of these illegals work and live for their families and don't have a boner to destroy White people like your Obama supporters.

Doesn't mean they're right to come here illegally, but you all truly take it out of context and it's getting sickening to watch the same bullshit inflammatory posts on every god damn thread - in this case it was completely irrelevant and untrue. We are not your scapegoat - address the fucking problem from the root instead of blaming the lowest form on your imaginary totem pole.

Russian has been in the U.S. for 21 years and has not become a citizen. Has been convicted three times for drugs. Get a clue.
