Depending on the length of your hair, you may try wrapping it to dry. Here's a discussion (I just did a quick google search) that seems to have useful info on how to do it:

but it takes a long time to dry if your hair is long or when the weather is cool. sometimes I do this before bed. :) Sometimes the hair has a couple kinks when you initially take it out but it relaxes in a hour or so. this makes your hair way silky feeling too, much better than flat iron. Cheers.

forgot to mention, I am a man and my hair is medium-short

Then cut it short, fixes the curls.
