Even if you think you are, you are not qualified to help your friend through this alone. In my state, a person (even an adult) can be committed to a state psych facility if they are a danger to themselves and others.....so that may be a possibility. The state holds them for 72 hours and does an assessment of mental state, then typically helps them integrate with more counseling and treatment, if needed. |

He is a heavy set male and was very over wieght . In high school he would constantly get picked on because of his wieght . One day, in science class, I noticed that he seemed pretty depressed. I asked him what was wrong and he said that he was tired of being picked on. I told my friend that you have to be strong. Don't let things get to your head, you are a better person than that. Your friends life is precious . You only have one life. Let your friend know that he is loved. There is always going to be the people out there that will judge him. I know it hurts.. trust me I have been there. I was picked on all my life and I used to get depressed . Never to the point of suicide though. Let your friend know that he will be missed and suicide is selfish. There is a reason why he didn't die yesterday. He still has a lot of life to live!! Your friend shouldn't change himself for anybody. I know that he may be a little feminine , but that's okay. Some women like feminine men. There is a special someone for every one. Good luck OP!!  |

The only one in his journey, who can do something, is now you. Its up to you how much you will take (of him inside of you), till he understands your endeavor for help, the will for free! This would be his energy of release from the trauma. Neded for his change (social + mental). Mental for the fact, that all begins with your perception (end in behaviour)... He had a decent job which he lost due to lack of performance and his troubled mental state was the reason for his poor performance. I am ashamed to say I have teased him the first time I met him but understanding his problem, I have never said anything to him that would offend him after that. He recently mentioned to a couple of his relatively closer friends that he is sick of being ridiculed at by the society and he can't help because he was born like that. Eventually yesterday he gave in and took the most drastic step. I will be meeting him today or tomorrow and I don't know how to console him. Has anyone here ever dealt with a person like that ? Do you have any suggestions on how he can turn his life around ? PS : I know GLP isn't the right place to post this question, but I trust the people on GLP more than anybody else out there because of an amazing personal experience here ! I had a severe drinking problem a few years ago and it was only due to some amazing suggestions from people here that I could overcome my problem. Dude, Those are the ones that have the potential of picking up the hottest of the hotties, just look at Justin Beiber. |

Find out if he microwaves his lunch in a plastic container, (there's also an estrogen mimic in the heated plastic). He should see an endocrinologist, a specialist in these issues. It wouldn't hurt to supplement with the essential trace minerals. He should do more physical exertion, cardio or better yet, chop wood for an hour, that'll put him on the right path. Get some sun. |
