When I was hired for my weekend job, (storage rental agent) I
had to pass a drug test, personality test, background check, dmv check and give up my email address and password. I was that desperate for a job.

SO my question is...police with this kind of authority must surely go through the same kind of checks?...wouldn't you think? If so, who is doing the checks and hiring them?

NYPD has always had its share of deviants and sadists. Now, with even lower admission standards, the roids and the stupidity make it a real dangerous force. Add to this toxic mix Popeye Kelly shipping NYPD personnel out to other states and nations and you've got the making of a dark mercenary force.

A couple of years ago, one cop started whistle-blowing. Shortly thereafter 20 cops stormed his house and had him locked-up on a flight deck. Little did the coppers know he taped the whole charade, but it didn't do any good and no heads but his rolled.

In my estimation we've got 15% of the people on the job that can be considered good guys and 85% that are punk-ass psychos.

Dark days indeed.
