I go to NFL games with my wife and young children, and I don't want some terrorist or other nutcase smuggling in a small bomb inside a fanny pack, or purse, or whatever. Back in 2005 some kid in Oklahoma was planning to explode a back pack bomb at a college game -- luckily it went off outside the stadium before he could get in ( look it up , it really happened!). |

Quoting: smilesun Last month a story made the rounds about how the NFL was banning large bags such as backpacks and purses from their stadiums. We all moaned, but chalked it up to an increased need for safety in the 21st century, even if some of the items prohibited, like seat cushions, seemed a bit over the top. Who doesn’t want a warm and comfy seat at the game? In reviewing a story about how the Indianapolis Colts are shipping season ticket holders bags that are pre-approved for stadium entry, however, something caught our eye. And that was included in the NFL’s list of banned items, along with backpacks and purses and seat cushions, was something we could scarcely believe: the fanny pack. The NFL has declared a war on fanny packs. Read more [link to ftw.usatoday.com] NOT IN THE RUFF BUFF!!! |

One of the high point of a terminally ill kid's life can be a trip to the big game. But medical devices are becoming harder and harder for security to deal with, as increased security leads to not only humiliation for the patient but real dangers for patients as handling many of these devices increases infection risk. A fanny pack we would all be happy to see, under the right circumstances: [link to www.buyemp.com] Infusion pump backpacks [link to www.wolfmed.com] |
