WEll, Austin is the Wingnut capital of the STate - and if it goes poof and magically disappeared - most Texans would have a barn dance.

It's the areas outside the major metroplexes of Texas that are gun toting, bible thumping, racist rednecks. Actually, I'm in a small town south of you and am as liberal as they come. Texas has a little more blue in it than some people even know. It's not all in Austin, although Travis is probably the bluest county.
