That's a good tip, I've been using the larger ones ($1.50)as emergency lighting when power occasionally goes out for a couple years now myself.

Another handy thing about them is that if you get the ones that use an AA battery the batteries from them can be charged by day and used to power smaller portable radios and other devices in an emergency. It's a little bit of a PITA to get them out but not bad once you've done it a couple of times.

Real men don't need stinking artificial lighting. Just cut some holes in your roof and put in full 2 liter bottles. The light from the sun will reflect off the water in the bottle.
