Especially now that I see the "political tactics" they employed in their strategy ... they did everything within their power to prevent public backlash and dependability for Zimmerman. No one can come at him later screaming how disrespectful his defense was. They are above reproach, imo. Prosecution also didn't cross nearly as much as defense so that shortened the defense witness time. I agree, GZ had a thorough defense who knew what they were doing. They seemed far more confident than the judge. She really didn't seem to know anything offhand about the law which struck me as odd. Does it have to be West who does closing because he did opening or can O'Mara do it? West grew on me, especially after last night, but I think it would be best for GZ if O'Mara did closing. |

I'm also an advocate against injustice in the judicial system. This never should have went to trial. Under different circumstances, it wouldn't have. Quoting: H0NEYBEE I know everyone thinks if Casey Anthony was found innocent here in FL that they could surely find Zimmerman innocent. Remember all the anger over the Casey Anthony case when she was found innocent? In Zimmerman's case we are dealing with a political agenda, gun control, racism, and they need for someone to be a poster boy. The anger factor is even different with this case. It is at a much higher elevation, we didn't have a "Black Panther" group making threats if the defendant were to be found innocent. This should have been declared a mistrial already and been thrown out. We have the US DOJ involved with the protests. Besides prosecutorial misconduct, we have blatant judicial misconduct. This trial was tainted from the very beginning. Nothing seems to stop the agenda anymore, people are seen more as pawns. I have been seeing this happen at an alarming rate. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with a "hung jury"...with some of the women identifying with the mother and some seeing this for what it is. I could see them finding him guilty of a lesser charge thinking they are making everyone happy. He spends a few years in prison, what's the big deal? These are easier outcomes to face than the fear of retaliation, not only from groups saying they are going to riot our neighborhoods, but also the possibility of them going after the jury members. Nothing surprises me anymore. With that being said, I would like to go to the courthouse when the verdict is read. I think that what you do is truly awesome, Honeybee, but I worry that you will be putting yourself in danger by doing so. I realize that in a free society we shouldn't have to worry about such things, but this case has been sabotaged at the highest levels of our government. I am just concerned that there is more going on behind the scenes with this judge. She's been in an awful damn hurry and has been extremely pushy about getting everything finished and out of the way so the jury can start deliberating. It all just stinks. But this case is important to your work. Just be careful. Please.
