I think it's obvious that I've been paying such close attention to domestic issues, that I don't have a clue what is going on with the EU. Out of character for me considering that my future depends on it.

He just wants the Troika to end ... and then have the elections. In the meanwhile, there'll be more circus probably every month due to the fact that no one party will agree with the other ... This could end up in revolution. Portuguese don't take crap lying down. They fight their politicians with all they've got. I wouldn't want to be any of those politicians walking the street at any point in time. Bad jujuB.

as you all know, the present gov had two major resigns, the ex-finance minister Vitor Gaspar, and the foreign minister and CDS lider Paulo Portas... this leads to the major political crisis since revolution! Since then Paulo Portas go to negotiations with PM to get an agreement to save this gov, and present the agreement to President during the weekend. But President starts to listen all parties and unions, and present his resolution one hour ago!

You realize the ammount of money and taxes we pay? This bail out will NEVER be paid!!

Example:

We hand you 1k to pay a loan. But you know you won't be able to pay the monthly share to me. I say "we're friends" and you'll get better.

Then comes payment date and you have NO money to pay me.

Then you come to me and ask me 2K to pay the last loan + interest rates.

And then you get caught in a endless loop of giving money to me!!

Listen, they handed some BILLIONS to German banks with 0.3 (thats ZERO POINT THREE!!) intereste rate - and then those german banks loan the same money to greece/cyprus/portugal with 8 or 10% interest rate!

NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO PAY IT!

Thats why we want to be OUT of eu, back to escudo, and back to our lonely sunny corner, producing agriculture goods, fishing, and raising cows.
