Now that's a yummy way to eat your spinach. Quoting: ElusivePisces 11156436 awesome. I love creamed spinach. Would it kill ya to put a little no nitrate bacon in it? I can eat any of the raw greens, but when you start cooking em, it's like eating something I just scraped off of the bottom of a dock. I've tried many ways over the years and found that if I put some nice partially crisp bacon in with the greens they go down easy. My wife doesn't even have to play the airplane into the hanger game to get me to eat em either. LOL I try to use stuff with no nitrates in it. Yesterday I made endives with turkey bacon (no nitrates) and sauteed onions it was pretty good. I like bacon, I just try to steer clear of the preservatives. Bacon makes everything better. Well okay then...I feel better now. |

It's really the best way I've found to season them without having to add an assload of salt. mmmmmmm...bacon and chicken grease are the only two I keep to cook with later. mix with a little peanut or olive oil and anything you're frying is tastier. We use a lot of garlic and onion powders and don't use a lot of salt outside of Himalayan pink salt for seasoning. mmmmmmmmm...bacon. |
