I finished the wheel of time books and thought they were good, but as usual as you get to the end of many series of books, the last few feel rushed, apart from that no other complaints. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 40836367 United States 07/30/2013 09:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just finished book 11, "Knife of Dreams". Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41703733 The only reason I continue to read is because I'm an obsessive compulsive basketcase who would sooner blow my brains out than not finish something I have started, even though it sucks ttown tits. This Robert Jordan guy was a real sick fuck. The entire saga is about men being sexually dominated by horribly cruel asshole women. They turn the men into slaves, have them wear leashes and collars, and they spank their asses with paddles and even rape them. I'm not kidding, there's thousands of pages of this shit. It has no story to speak of, the writing style is the worst I've ever seen, and every single character is a dick head that you wish would get killed. Not a single friendly person in the entire Wheel universe. Cocksuckers all. Even the main character, Rand al'Thor, is a piece of shit. Like I said, I'm fucking nuts, so I'm sure I'll end up finishing all 14 books just so I can be pleased with myself. But can anyone recommend a fantasy series that is actually good that I can start reading after I finish this bullshit? Something with a sense of adventure. And enjoyable characters, and some cool monsters. I don't think that's too much to ask. WoT has none of these things. Check out Asimov's Foundation series, also any and all philip k dick stuff is fun some is better naturally then others, Ohhh and The moon is a harsh mistress Thats all Scify stuff but fantasy, probably the black company series, gardens of the moon by Erickson. |
