If your not allergic to bees use propolis. Its a natural antibiotic made by bees and will target the bacteria.

A very good point! Please, OP, before trying anything, research it thoroughly. Avoid "confirmation bias" and be sure to read opposing views as well as supporting ones.

Use natural oils. I suffered from UTI's for many years until I started using oils.
Oregano oil has been proven to kill mrsa. Its a natural antibiotic. I use doterra brand just because their oils are more concentrated than other brands I've tried.
I use oregano in an empty gel cap- 2 drops.
I also have used lemongrass oil and rosemary.
Rosemary helps with back pain when having kidney problems.

Re: Is there a way to treat low grade Urinary Tract Infection without antibiotics?
Or can they go away on their own?
I think I am developing one and cannot take antibiotics. I am recovering and currently under treatment for clostridium difficile intestinal infection, caused by.. antibiotics. so, i cant take another antibiotic.. at least for a couple of years, without MASSIVE risk of relapsing or turning this into a very very serious infection. The medicine I am on for the c.diff right now is Vancomycin, and this does not treat UTi type infections. I had previously been on Flagyl, which did not kill off my infection, and kinda wondering if that triggered it. I am not even sure if this is a UTI. just REALLY bad timing for this!!!!!

Cranberry Juice only treats UTI symptoms, not the bacteria.

So, I am wanting to pursue this the natural way.

I should get one of those urine test strips to find out for sure.

I do think I have had a few minor UTI's in the past and they just went away on their own, but I have no clue.

I have loads of kefir which I have been drinking to help replenish my destroyed good gut flora.. and I know that can also help in yeast infections, so... wondering if that could help if I started taking even more?

Suggestions?

Why do you suspect UTI? Just curious

It just seems to be near the urethra. Am female.

I noticed about 3 weeks ago a little scratchy/burning feeling around there for a couple of days, on and off.. and when I peed. Then it went away. Now, 3 days ago, it came back.. and feels scratchy. No idea why. I also was not drinking enough water the past few weeks. Its more scratchy then burn. But a couple of times after peeing, it felt like it was up in there. Very vague feeling. No sharp pains. Nothing like that. Just feels irritated. Up inside though.

Urine seems normal color. No bladder pain.

I wondered if perhaps if it was all the colon pressure and issues I had been having, but, this is the urethra.. would make more sense if it was the vagina or something in that case. But yeah. I had this happen a couple years ago, too. was worse than this, though. It went away on its own. No clue what it was. I am not even entirely sure it is the urethra. Stuff can radiate and referred sensations, so.. who knows.

Sounds more like a yeast infection than a UTI. Different things. No idea what to do for the yeast though. AZO Cranberry from the drugstore works well to prevent UTI and help recover from them. Also, Diet Coke causes UTIs. Haven't had one since getting off the Diet Coke and used to get a UTI every other month.

With all the antiboitics, you likely have a yeast infection. I always ask for fluconazole (Diflucan) when taking antibiotics. You may need to see a gynacologist.

Avoiding too much sugar and eating yogurt can help a yeast infection. Also, natural remedy stores sell tea-tree suppositories that can get rid of them naturally.

GP is as good a place as any to go for health/medical advice, as long as you have discernment, a sense of humor and can do some basic research.
The pharmaceutical/industrial/military complex using GP's as dispatch would be my last choice.

Re: Is there a way to treat low grade Urinary Tract Infection without antibiotics?
I have been plagued with these, these are items i've used:
Urva usa - drops work great with water
boil parsley strong put in boillion drink
asparagus, also drink water with boullion
colladial silver, (use only once in a while but works)
Grapefruit Seed Extract drops or caplets don't over use.

Thing's i have heard but not tried
baking soda (be careful check your ph with this)
real lemon water

Antibiotics won't work after a while, so you almost have to try something alternative, there was a formula of drops i used that worked the best had dandelion/urva usa/juniper was called lights of something or another.

If it is an ongoing issue with flora, then tea tree oil, 5 or 6 drops in half glass water three times a day.

But if it is increasing, AZO and true cranberrry juice, juice cocktail is useless.

Stay in touch with your gyn, they know extra stuff. They know the good stuff.

Re: Is there a way to treat low grade Urinary Tract Infection without antibiotics?
I use to suffer from UTIs for years. What helped me was to blend whole, organic cranberries in a blender with water and ACV. I'd drink throughout the day. In addition to the cranberry drink I'd sip hot water infused with three garlic cloves and honey...when I finished the tea I would eat the garlic cloves. Hard core, I know, but it worked and never have had a UTI since.
