Why do you think I'm white? How can you tell from a post? I don't understand this phenomenon of miscalculating my race, when I stated what's true.

We spend far more to educate a black kid than a white one but it just doesn't "take". Then when they perform mediocre on standardized tests, we celebrate them for the diversity they bring and admit them to the Ivy League.

We put far too much educational resources at their disposal. It's a waste. Common Core will just make that worse, as the assessments and standards are designed to be so soft and social-justice-oriented that they're just about designed for blacks, also hispanics, not so much whites and asians.

Whites manage to answer the questions truthfully even to the opposing attorney.

How on Earth do you gather more resources are spent educating blacks?? In most states, educational resources are based and allocated using local property taxes so blacks typically end up getting lower dollars per student. Back up your fallacious claims.

Countries with a black majority population have lower GDP´s then white majority countries.

Why is the situation the way it is in America?

Why are the blacks in underpriveliged areas, why do they need more wellfare etc?

I know that of statewide money in NY, far more goes to the poor districts, and much more to inner city districts than poor rural ones. That's pretty unfair. Then some local districts that get very little statewide money pay almost the whole cost via local property taxes.

Welfare was never the solution.. Even whites who've been on unemployment too long, get either lazy or discouraged from looking for work. We are seeing this problem in the US with extended unemployment benefits, so it's not merely racial. If you really want to know why blacks struggle to get ahead in this country then read a few books, a lot has been written on the problems.

The people who get in Ivy Leagues and high ranking public schools largely deserve to be there. For instance, in 2010, 93 and 94 percent of blacks and Hispanics respectively graduated from Harvard, while 98% of whites graduated. This difference is negligible and can likely be attributed to other factors, ie athletics, transfer rates, cost of attendance, and then the 1 or 2 who just couldn't cut it at Harvard.

It's not hard to graduate from Harvard. It's much harder to get in. If the standard for admission were ability to graduate, about 100 times as many asians and 50 times as many whites would be admitted as currently are.

And maybe 2 - 3 x as many blacks.

Yes this is true. In fact, for a couple of months of my life, I'd say my best friend was black (and I was his, too.)

He was very cool.

I visited him again maybe 5 years later and it was devastating the way he had deteriorated.

But there was no real excuse for it either. I think that he just could not cut it in our competitive society. Then he got a negative attitude, and he didn't really want to see me, I'd say because he was ashamed.

I am sorry for Mike, my heart goes out to him. But he quit a job he could do and could not find another that would keep him on.

Every race is racist to an extent, black people have sterotypes for white people too.

I was lucky enough to work for an all black company in a pretty much all black office building.

FTW for some reason or another I fit right in. Made some good friends. Thin walls and just being there so much they forgot at times I was white. It was cool.

There were many comments made about white people, but mostly just chatter. Offensive, I suppose if you are thin skinned.

Only ran into two real hard core black racists.

Got set straight on a few things like black peoples dogs hate white people the same as white peoples dogs hate blacks. It was a funny momemt you had to be there.

I've been guilty of off color comments same as anyone else, but I gotta say some of the black people that I've known are completely awesome.

All that to say most people will judge you based on how you treat them.

One of my best friends ever was a black guy from Chicago, Im a white redneck. We lived next to each other in an apartment. 1st month was a Mexocan stand off, hood against the woods, I dont remember what got us talking but I've never had a better neighbor and he said neither has he. He passed from cancer : (

It would be cool, very cool to have an honest discussion on race.

That's fine, but affirmative action has to be up for grabs and possible elimination, otherwise there's nothing to discuss.

I have a similar one.
It was a small advertising sales company.
12 employees and a boss. I was the only white guy there.
I liked it there. Job was easy, pay was decent and the people were fun.
The Receptionist, Irma, would bring in soul food.
Turkey gizzards, chicken neck, greens, etc.. I really enjoyed learning about American Black culture.
I used to joke he only hired me as a token white.
He'd reply that he hired me because I could close a sale. ;-`)
When I quit to relocate, the boss said I'd always have a job with him.
I took him up on it when I returned to the city and needed something right away while looking for a better job.

You don't mention hating the behavior of those in your community that cause the sterotypes. Your only problem is with the white people who happen to notice and call them out on it.
