It seemed the Sun was super white, larger than it normally appears to be, and further north than it should be at approximately 7:25 p.m. (prior to sunset) last night.

Maybe you can check it to see if you notice any anomalies to night. Seriously intense, white, bright, and northerly decent.
It seems Florida and the Magnetosphere bands aloft com to mind. Curious if loud noise are occurring due to disruptions in and/or between converging bands amongst the magnetosphere.
