We Are Better Than This As A Society And As A People Of All Walks Of Life! Spread Love, Not Hate! The Parable Of The Good Samaritan.
I ask everyone to please take heed to the lesson here! Please try and take it for what it is. Look past religion if you are not a believer, the message is significant alone! Let us not forget that we shape are world and we can be better than segregation by color or belief! Every walk of life has some bad apples in it's group, let us not judge and condemn all of that group for this!

God Bless us all and peace be to your house!hf

The parable of the good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37

25 An, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL THY MIND; and THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said on to him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves?
37 And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

The lesson taught here is this:

Ritual considerations may have have been used by the priest and the Levite as excuses for passing by; or they may have feared the thieves themselves. In either case Jesus' point is that they were heartless in their behavior. The Levites were officials of lower ranks than priests; they oversaw the temple worship. Unlike the priest, the Levite at least approached the victim and gazed at him. But neither extended aid.
Jews and Samaritans were bitter rivals. The Samaritans were despised for having at least partially Gentile ancestry (due to Assyria's conquest of Samaria in 721 B.C.) and for having a different worship center(Mount Gerizim). Thus Jesus' parable was highly provocative. Samaritan was to Jesus' hearers automatically a term of reproach. To portray a Samaritan as fulfilling the commandment, but Jews as circumventing it, would be a supreme insult to the listening lawyer and to the rest of the audience.
The lawyer cannot even bring himself to say "the Samaritan." Jesus shows that the racial considerations are utterly transcended by God's command to love him, and thus to love others as He does, without prejudice or partially.

Btw you do know that icon you has as your picture is not Jesus and you are forbidden to have those pictures of "Jesus"? You seem to like the Bible but yet you totally missed what God thinks about pictures of Jesus?

Also you're barking up the wrong tree here, who you want to reach with your message are not the people reacting to scumbags and getting angry with them, who you want to reach are the scumbags and they usually don't like to read, that is you message is for them, go spread it.

Oh and stop having pictures/icons/idols/statues of Jesus it's a big no no.

The parable of the good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37

 Quoting: Re_Deek_u_Lus

"By their fruits shall ye know them" is my guide to who my neighbors are -

"My neighbor" is he that desires to live in harmony with me, and with others who also live by the standards of Justice, Compassion, and Tolerance. (Tolerance in the spiritual sense - that we withhold from judgement where chastising/punishing someone does more harm than good. True tolerance *never* requires that we grant LICENSE to EVIL.) He who goes against these things which my neighbor and I desire and work for together, is The ENEMY.

He who demands LICENSE to engage in the abuse of a person, a group of people, or of society in general is not worthy of tolerance, because they perpetrate EVIL. Slave holders were not worthy of tolerance 200 years ago, nor are race-baiters or black thugs threatening violence and/or demanding "reparations" in this day. Then and now, both represent THE SAME EVIL, who is The ENEMY, and both deserve the same fate - JUDGEMENT.

With my soul have I desired Thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek Thee early: for when Thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. --Isaiah 26:9

I see your point friend but I feel you may have missed mine.
The theives would be the evil and justice rightfully so would be brought to them! But should every member of the theives race or faith be judged the same? I'm not saying that the rioters and the likes are right in their doings but are everyone of their faith or race to be judged the same? Forgiveness is a very powerful thing and if we could all do it their would be no riots or hate one would hope. I'm not naive as to believe there can
be no wrong but to fall into a state of fighting hate with hate, when will this end is what I'm trying to show here.

Great post, thanks OP!

I'm enjoying this book by Klaus Joehle, Living on Love, which I think you may like.

I'm hearing the same thing from various sources, and it's very true in my experience.

Re: We Are Better Than This As A Society And As A People Of All Walks Of Life!

How Can You Recognize True Worship?

1. Is there only one true religion?
Jesus taught his followers only one religion, the true religion. It is like a road leading to everlasting life. Jesus said: “Few are the ones finding” that road. (Matthew 7:14) God accepts only worship based on his Word of truth.
All true worshippers are united in one faith.
D Read John 4:23, 24; 14:6; Ephesians 4:4, 5.
“Be on the watch for the false prophets.” —MATTHEW 7:15.
2. What did Jesus say about false Christians?
Jesus warned that false prophets would corrupt Chris- tianity. Outwardly, they seem like true worshippers. Their churches claim to be Christian. But you
can recognize such people for what they really are. How? Only true worship produces genuine Christians with recog- nizable qualities and ways. D Read Matthew 7:13-23.
3. How can you recognize true worshippers?
Consider these five identifying marks:
̨ True worshippers respect the Bible as God’s Word. They strive to live by its principles. So true religion differs from religion that is based on men’s ideas. (Matthew 15:
“They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works.” —TITUS 1:16.
7-9) True worshippers do not preach one thing and practice another. D Read John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.
̨ Jesus’ true followers honor God’s name, Jehovah. Jesus honored God’s name by making it known. He helped people to know God and taught them to pray that
God’s name be sanctified. (Matthew 6:9) Where you
live, which religion makes God’s name known?
D Read John 17:26; Romans 10:13, 14.
̨ True Christians preach about God’s Kingdom. God sent Jesus to preach the good news of the Kingdom. God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind. Jesus continued speaking about it until his dying day. (Luke 4:43; 8:1; 23:42, 43) He said that his followers would preach about it.
If someone approaches you to speak about God’s King- dom, to which religion does he likely belong?
D Read Matthew 24:14.
̨ Jesus’ followers are no part of this wicked world.
You can recognize them by the way they take no part in politics or social conflicts. ( John 17:16; 18:36) Also, they do not imitate the world’s harmful practices and attitudes. D Read James 4:4.
̨ True Christians have outstanding love for one another. From God’s Word, they learn to respect all ethnic groups. Although false religions have often strongly sup- ported the wars of the nations, true worshippers refuse to do so. (Micah 4:1-3) Rather, true Christians unselfishly use their time and resources to help and encourage others. D Read John 13:34, 35; 1 John 4:20.
4. Can you identify the true religion?
Which religion bases all its teachings on God’s Word, honors God’s name, and proclaims God’s Kingdom as mankind’s only hope? Which group practices love and shuns war? What do you think? D Read 1 John 3:10-12.
