SevenThunders User ID: 15851599 United States 07/23/2013 04:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Im 33 and have been unemployed for 5 years now. I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and pay 1000 a month for rent. I blew through 60k+ in the last 5 years and most of that was just for rent. I have no clue why I cant find a job. I look and look but nothing. I even went to a job fair today and tried to remain positive. I am a clean cut 6'1 140lb(yes I know im very skinny) male. I go to job fairs in dress pants/dress shirt and tie yet no one seems to want to hire me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41700762 I have only 2 months in savings left and I am a very sad individual right now :( Did you vote for Obama? If so then you fully deserve your plight. If not then leave your crappy leftist city that has driven all the jobs away thanks to their bad tax policies. Head out to the oil patch. There are still lots of jobs out there. From Texas to North Dakota and even Saskatchewan. Job fairs? Jobs are found through networking. Did you ever think of starting your own business ? With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |

So how can I pay one of you to rake my leaves etc if I am not working myself? Good luck getting a job in 2014 Obama care is driving everyone away. We all need to say screw you to Federal taxes and trade for goods. Quoting: burnanator420 You all know that 40 percent of the businesses are not hiring right now right? We all need to say screw you to Federal taxes and trade for goods. Quoting: burnanator420 Barter can be taxed as income. There were barter exchanges in the eighties, that the IRS said were producing income. So...its a great idea that neighbors can exchange services. But if you trade piano lessons for massages, you might be taxed the value of the service you receive. I haven't researched anything recent. That factoid from twenty five years ago just popped up in my thoughts. |
