I can now honestly say for the time I have been on GLP and have read your post you add absolutely nothing to this forum.

I read about that a few years ago. Wasn't it the english institution mentality coming through their ties to the commonwealth and crown, that was behind all those atrocities?

I also read once that the Inuit people are the only people on Earth who have never fought a war. Not against another tribe, nor a civil war within their own population.

Canada’s Stolen Generations report released

CANADA: A commission set up to examine a decades-long government policy that required Aboriginal Canadians to attend schools where students were stripped of their cultural identity says that the institutional abuse created a legacy of turmoil.

From the 19th century until the 1970s, more than 150,000 Aboriginal children were required to attend state-funded Christian schools in a painful attempt to assimilate them into Canadian society.

They were prohibited from speaking their languages or participating in cultural practices.

“Countless students emerged from the schools as lost souls, their lives soon to be cut short by drugs, alcohol and violence,” the commission’s interim report said.

That legacy of abuse and isolation has been cited by Indian leaders as the root cause of epidemic rates of alcoholism and drug addiction on reservations.

The commission was created as part of a $5 billion class action settlement in 2006 – the largest in Canadian history – between the government, churches and 90,000 surviving students.

A telling quote from Hector Langevin, the Public Works Minister of Canada in 1883, opens the report: “In order to educate the children properly, we must separate them from their families. Some people may say that this is hard, but if we want to civilise them we must do that.”

When you grow up and learn about personal responsibility and the individual you stop blaming entire races,nations,sexes etc fir past transgressions. I didn't starve any natives. He followed spirit every day of his life. He made no plans, but followed long term spiritual missions or objectives/ quests.

I haven't seen him since 1991. But I was talking to a guy recently who knew that I had also met him back then, and he asked if he was still alive and in Australia.

He made some enquiries and found that he is still in the place he went to after here.

I was told, not by him, but by someone who knew him well, that his lifelong quest had been to find and collect 12 crystals from all over the Earth. He had been travelling the world for many years before he came here. Had to seek them out by intuition, one by one.

I wouldn't know if he bought them all with him, or stashes them somewhere else along the way. He almost had them all back then.

Here in Australia we had massacres of Australian aborigines up until the 1930s.

What's worse? Experimenting on them like the Canucks, or murdering them outright like some Australians did?

Although, in general our various governments of the day treated the Australian aborigines like children and physically they were generally fairly well protected while state sponsored "civilising" programs systematically dismantled an ancient culture.
