I was just lying down for a few moments and thinking about what happened. The more I think about it the more I think she was trying to warn me.

She kept using the words "be alert" "be careful" and doing that I'm looking at you thing with her fingers.

In plain English I guess she was saying you better be vigilant and careful walking around because you have a target on your back.

You know here is my personal observation. My daughter and I were headed out to go grocery shopping. At a stop light a white and a black girl passed in front of us, engrossed in a conversation, just enjoying the day together. I said to my daughter, see there you have it, we are always going to have differences, white black Hispanic, catholic, Jewish Mormon, republican democrat and in the day to say it doesn't matter, we know who we know, we like who we like. Just seeing this, I point to the girls, reminds me what the truth is. My daughter who is in her ate 20s says what do you mean? I say the whole Martin zimmerman thing is doing nothing more than accentuating lines we don't normally pay attention to in this day and age. She had no idea what I was talking about! She is not a tv watcher, she works, spends time with her friends and siblings and goes about living,... so the Martin zimmerman trial wasnt even in her atmosphere. I had to explain the whole trial to her. She basically said that's ridiculous, the guy wasn't even white so how is this a white black issue to begin with? and didnt you say he didnt even know the race of the guy when he called 911? I couldnt really answer her, bar to say the media has decided, al sharpton decided. You know I heard a title thrown in Al Sharptons direction and I have to say, it is accurate. He is a race pimp. I hope he wakes up and realizes that he and the NAACP are really aiming to push back the civil rights movement decades with this absurdity. We have a black president, Al sharpton, has his own show as a commentator on main stream media. This particular race of people have all black colleges, black caucuses, affirmative action, what more is there? The rate of black on black crime is astounding and not a word from the Al Sharptons of the world, yet a Mixed race man, who clearly looks Hispanic, has black family members, mentors in the black community shoots a black man, seemingly according to the evidence and testimony in the trial, in self defense and this is the focus of the NAACP? The police did not find evidence to point to it being anything but what the witnesses saw, yet they were railroaded into pushing forward with a trial at the great expense to the state of Florida, just to allease the NAACP yet even this was not good enough!? I honestly don't understand it, however I think it is a very big mistake. The economy is in a terrible state, our rights are being slowly taken away from us, people are running with a subversive sense of loss and smoldering anger and to start a division of race as a focus is poorly thought out. I hope they come to their senses and let us continue to progress as Americans, not a divided nation.

Sounds like a few of my experiences in the hood, St. Louis. Was told many times to leave and be "we're watching you."
Had to pull the artillery twice.
The fact is, when a white man is in the hood, he's usually there for drugs, hoes, debt collection or US Marshal's service or other LE reasons.
Obama's Admin has set us back 40 years in race relations. This IS NOT temporary this time however. There is no more excise reparations to make them feel "franchised" again. There is going to the trouble from now on. The tit is going dry.
White people should leave cities now. Escape while you still have time before America starts fracturing into South African tribal conclaves.

As some of you know I live in an area that is predominantly black, and have for many years. My neighborhood is pretty quiet and not a bad area at all.

Occasionally I have to go to the other side of town for shopping, etc. and once a week I have to go to the neighborhood health center, it's right in the middle of the hood.

I have never ever, not once, had a problem with anyone bothering me, on the contrary most people are friendly towards me. Once in a while I'll get a dirty look and sometimes someone will spit on the ground near me and sneer at me and that's about it.

Every Thursday I go to an appt. I normally take the bus as far as I can and then walk the 10 blocks or so to the health center.

So this morning I am nearing the corner where I have to turn and this youngish black lady comes out of the bodega I just passed with 2 guys and they walk past me, as we pass each other I hear her yelling something.

I turn around and she's yelling at me..she's doing the "I see you" thing with her fingers pointing at her eyes and then at me and she's saying "you better watch out and be alert!" "You better be careful!" "You hear me baby?"....and some other stuff I could barely understand.

She is about 15' away from me. I just stood there and I was trying to ask her what her problem was but of course she just kept yelling and wouldn't let me get a fucking word out, She kept it up for a minute and then turned and walked away. I was watching her body language carefully and I am pretty sure she thought about making a move but didn't.

So what the hell was that all about? Like I said, I've NEVER had a problem...is it the Zimmerman/Trayvon effect? Or just coincidence. Why would she tell me to be "alert" and "watch out"????

Looks to me like the plan may be working! Any gains made between the races will be erased because of the perception that white people are to blame for Zimmerman going free and that the case is racist to the core.

Thanks media, Holder, etc.! Now I'll have to think twice about going to the health center and have to fear for my safety in a city I've lived in for a long time. All kinds of demonstrations are planned for this weekend and I'm staying far away.

I do not agree with that at all. She was threatening you, trying to intimidate you. Basically saying, "Watch your back" cuz she coming for you...

If she wanted me she could have done it right there and then, it was early and there weren't a whole lot of people around.
