People open-carrying in the grocery store
Just wanted to comment on it. I was in the grocery store last night, and there were older white men (not together) wearing guns in the grocery store while casually shopping, including the guy in the checkout line in front of me.

I'm glad to see them exercising their rights. I just figured it was worth commenting on, since I live in a VERY liberal area in the NW. And I haven't seen anything like this before. I go to this same grocery store each week. There's a good mix of diversity in my city, and some protests downtown. Must be a result of all the tensions lately? People are on edge.

That's cool especially in a liberal area. I open carry everywhere except work but I live in tn. No one even bats an eye.

Open carry

no one will bother you in areas where they want to loot and be animals

A gun is a great deterrent

I live in Pennsylvania, an open carry state. I always carry that way when walking my dogs in the woods. I have friends that carry that way all the time.

One of my friends was at the Turkey Hill in line to pay for his gas. he always open carries. A couple from New York State was in front of him. A state trooper was behind him. The couple from NY see my friends gun and start whispering. They then yell out to the trooper, "OFFICER THAT MAN HAS A GUN! The trooper smiles at my friend, and says "he sure does". End of encounter.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised.

To actually see people in this part of the country wearing their gun on them...that was a first. I thought it was perhaps indicative of the current social climate, like these dudes were saying "don't fuck with me!" :)

I always get the idea that if everyone carried guns then everyone would be nicer.

Who would fuck with anybody?

For instance, let's say a guy wanted to shoot another guy in a public place. iIn a world with no one carrying guns, the majority of the people would now be a possible victim and have to play by the rules of the person with the gun. If everyone carried guns, an attacker wouldn't even attempt it because he would be shot almost instantly.

Kindof shocking in a way isn't it? I think it will be a great deterrant I have not decided if I will or not yet when the time comes I'm in Illinois btw but I will get a permit and support the system that I think is the least I can do. These were hard won rights and they deserve much respect. America is now a wholly different place than it was when I was a child.

All it takes is a careless drop on the hard floor from
purse or holster and someone has a $1,000,000 liability.
Anyone carrying outside their home should be required
to also carry a minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance policy.
Otherwise your family's future could be ruined in a lawsuit.

Oh give me a break. Please tell us of someone dropping their gun in the store and killing someone. We'd love to hear about it.

Hell..IM more worried of people like you driving their car's. Someone like you driving their car more then one block away from their home should be required
to also carry a minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. Or $5,000,000 liability insurance policy if you have kids that are of driving age living in your home!

No kidding, there are so many more common incidents of injury or death. Doesn't this person realize there already ARE people carrying guns all around them. They have concealed-carry permits. In my 40 years of life, living in various parts of the US, I've never ONCE heard of someone dropping a gun in a public place and killing someone. Not to say that freak accidents don't happen...but come on now!

I was at the gas station today, and noticed a man with a pistol on his hip(shirt tucked in) walk into the station. I thought that was good for him, but what is stopping someone from grabbing that thing from his holster? lol.

I at least admit I know nothing about guns, although my husband has tons of experience (I'm hoping he'll start teaching me soon, once we get some free time! lol) but even I know there are safety's that prevent a gun from just "going off."

I would imagine that if someone is close enough to you to grab you're gun, you'd be able to respond quick enough to get to it first. I don't think they just slide out so easily anyways.

Ban guns to "save the children" but killing them in the womb is totally cool......I see; it makes perfect sense now.
