According to a press release from Greenpeace International, Anheuser-Busch, America’s largest beer marketer, is using experimental genetically modified rice to brew its flagship beer: Budweiser.

Monsanto are still supplying animal feed in the EU/UK so if you are a meat eater then you are still getting poisoned, does anyone have an update on this?

Think you don’t eat much of those crops? Think again. GMO is nearly impossible to escape because the byproducts of genetically modified soy, corn and sugar beets are used in almost every single processed food made in this country.

A few years ago the Grocery Manufacturers of America estimated that 75% of all processed foods in the U.S. contained a genetically modified ingredient.

That's excellent news, but isn't Syngenta still doing its dirty business in many parts of Europe? The day is coming, of course, when GMO will (thankfully) be a thing of the past, but we've got a ways to go yet.

Apparently a little known secret in the brewery world is that you may be drinking GMO beer if you purchase from non-craft breweries. Many of the larger breweries are using 35% malt and 65% adjuncts in their beers. That adjunct is usually rice or corn derived. Unless using organic corn, there is an 85% chance the corn used will be genetically modified (GM).

There was a TV special report about a month ago on PBS. It showed farmers in India who have lost all of their GMO crops because of the floods. People are starving there. Some families saved a lot of the old seeds before the GMO's were forced on them. So, the families started planting the old seeds in the flood plains and now they are having their crops starting to come back. These seeds have been passed down through generations in India, Mother Nature knew what was best for them.

Apparently GMO's are modified for pests and Roundup, but in India where wet lands are more common, they didn't modify the GMO's for floods. Imagine that!

Good luck in thinking Monsanto is "pulling out" of Europe or anywhere else for that matter.

All they did was retract a few new products that were on the EU waiting list. All they will do now is repackage, find the individuals who were responsible for the delay, get Xe services to deal with them (o yes they own Blackwater) and then simply resubmit.
