The only thing that is hard to grasp with this concept is different experiences humans go through in their lifetime.
I can see if in a previous life form you killed lets say a mother of another life form, then you would experience the same loss as a human. So you can experience what that other life form went through when it lost it's mother. However,
I do not get the really gruesome experiences some humans have like rape, torture etc.

That's exactly why I believe in Karma, rather than "heaven and hell". We do pay for our "wrongs" either in this lifetime, or the next. Everything is balanced one way or another.

My bf also told me that he read a piece, I haven't had a chance to check it out myself yet... but basically that we reincarnate into a more powerful soul with each life. The final stage as a human is coming back as a very powerful magician. Not the kind that most people think of, a master of illusions. But one that can actually create instances which science cannot fully explain. He saw a video of an old monk creating a flame with just his hand. He is determined that the video is real (and quite frankly, I don't personally think that any monk would try to decieve anybody in any way shape or form). Not certain I believe that, because I've never seen it in person myself. But I know for a fact that my boyfriend was able to make money appear on a couple of occasions through deep meditation and concentration, under the guidance of a monk. Not a lot of money... a $5 bill once, and a $1 coin the second time.

My only question is, what happens after that phase of life. Do we become aliens? Stars? Something we don't know about, in another galaxy? damned

I second that lol.

But this isn't a new theory. Like the previous poster said this is stated in Hinduism. There are 8.4 million different life forms. I think 200,000 are the superior life forms in the universe human beings in that 200,000 range. So you have been all those lifeforms before a spider, ant, dog, cat, elephant etc. Now you are a human. Question is what are you going to do about it?

I think your BF might be on to something. It may explain why some people are able to do things other people can't. I don't mean as far as advanced as the Monk, but maybe we are not nearly as close as he is. Also, if this is possible how come we don't see more people reaching that stage. With technology today you would think we would see more if this was happening. But then again maybe we are not advanced enough to see it. Did the money just appear while he was there meditating or did he leave and come back and it was there ? (not saying someone put it there ) I was thinking more along the lines of the secret, where they state that if you concentrate hard enough it will eventually come to you.

I was thinking this as well... maybe we move to another planet and have to go through the same there with all their life forms.

From an Mayfly (30 mins to a day) to a quahog (400 years) ? This way we get to experience every life form on the planet.

Re: What if we have to live a life cycle of every life form on earth before we evolve?
Quite a way to deepen empathy...

To know the light from many sides...

So when we return to "higher" consciousness we are more aware in our creations.

"You would do this and this with your thoughts and intentions, but do you know what it's like to be on the receiving end?"

There is a concievability of reaching a point in consciousness where you have experienced all sides. Empathy complete.

Unconditional love and care through empathy and experience, no archons can use you, there is nothing to use, no beast could accuse you, you too have been each "beast" each level, each perspective.

You would be solid, complete and comfortable is any hell, familiar and capible within those emotional extremes, sober and balanced in any heaven, as you moderate and discern the motives of all beings and circumstances individually.

I asked what happens next? And the response was: "what if you and your friends could go anywhere and do anything?"

This process has been a gracious opportunity of completeness, not forced on any being, and not a prison, a school of hard knocks and love, only the most jaded of travelers would want to bottom out and renew, not an easy nor fun process, to build up from the bottom again, but ultimately the most liberating process, removing the shackles of having gone too far with too much, humbling ourselves with constant new beginnings...

Many think that we evolve from here into spirit realms, in my opinion, the only way into this experience is from a long road through spirit, to humble ourselves in the physical and return to spirit completely renewed and refined.

How do you know that insect and animals do not have souls?
According to the dictionary a soul is:

1

: the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life

2
a: the spiritual principle embodied in human beings, all rational and spiritual beings, or the universe

I think that anything alive has a soul and the definition of a soul in a manmade dictionary is lacking. I too grew up being told that only humans have souls, which I think is complete BS. I think that a soul is a combination of everything from empathy, compassion, ego, selflessness etc., to common sense all combine to make ones soul. The soul is what defines you as an individual spirit. To say that an animal does not have a soul to me means they do not have any of these qualities which is complete and utter BS. We have read many stories about animals risking their lives to saving other animals and humans. If they did not have a soul and were a walking souless void I highly doubt they would have the ability to differentiate from what is right and what is wrong.

Re: What if we have to live a life cycle of every life form on earth before we evolve?
Interesting thought, indo aryan correct.

The idea I have toyed with however is evolution. Overcoming differences etc. The book states some should not breed with others, yet what if, what if we combined these marks much like the philosophers stone. Could we arrive at the perfected man, the philosophers stone, the cornerstone to a new civilization.

Seriously lets face it. If we cant get along here with simple basic colors, how would we deal with "aliens", perhaps that looked totally different. Most likely the same way we have for centuries.

What he told me, is that you must have the mindset that if and when you reach that point, you must be willing to keep it to yourself and not speak about it to others. And you can't get there by lying to yourself, you have to truly be willing to enforce that discipline, or it simply will not happen for you. That would explain why you don't see people running around doing this stuff in public. You must be humble, I guess. Still, he spoke to me about his experience with the money, but then it's not like he can create fire or anything with his bare hands. Maybe in his next life?

I'm going to ask him about this again and if I can find the source of this info, I will post it here.

I know that when he found the $5 bill, the monk had told him that morning that his task for the day was to buy both of them coffee, and not to return until he did so. He was flat broke at the time and didn't have two cents to rub together (no thanks to his parents who kicked him out at 17, but that's another story). So he did some meditating, not sure how long. When he finished, his instinct told him to read/open a book that he had on his shelf and had read a few times prior to this incident. On the first page he opened it to, the $5 bill appeared. And believe me, I was very skeptical when he told me this. I said, are you sure the monk didn't put it in there? Are you sure that you didn't put it in there a long time ago? But he said that he knows for a fact he did not. And if he knew it was in there, he would have spent it long ago, due to how broke he was. Even if someone did put it there at one point, it's still a major coincidence that he came across it under those circumstances.

With the $1 coin, a loonie as we Canadians call it, he needed bus change to get to school. He was short a dollar. Now I don't know what he was thinking at the time but he stood by the bus stop, scanning a patch of grass that was about 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep. He spent about 20 minutes going over the same, small area, multiple times, until, voila, the loonie appeared in the grass staring right up at him.

I watched the Secret and I absolutely believe that if we want something bad enough, (and if we truly deserve it), then life will give it to us. This is why I believe that the power of God is within us all, and not an external being. People who "pray" and believe in that, are essentially using their own willpower and energy which is why they might believe that praying to God actually helps them. Really, the responsibility lays within them and has nothing to do with an external source.

I would "guess" this is impossible since we simply discover new species on a daily basis, new species come out quicker than we could live them and it would be the neverending story.
