I thought those coasters had a bar that locked you in that would prevent you from falling out. Was it a malfunction?

How do we know the restraint failed on its own? She could have just been an idiot/suicidal and tried to wiggle her way out of it.

This wont stop people from going on the ride, people in Texas are mindless zombies.. blind leading the blind. Of course, this is mainly in places like Dallas.

Lol,

Name me one place in the world who doesn't have mindless zombies. I bet you prance around wherever you live thinking, "oh geez, we are so sophisticated and awesome"

Then you probably fart and smell your own shit thinking its beautiful.

Re: BREAKING: 1 Person Killed In Coaster Accident - Six Flags Over Texas
he Texas Giant is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. It is the tallest steel-hybrid roller coaster in the world at a height of 153 ft (47 m) which features a 79° drop of 147 ft (45 m), and turns banked up to 95°.[2] The coaster uses a brand new type of all steel track which results in the Texas Giant no longer being a purely wooden roller coaster. The redesigned ride is a steel-tracked coaster with the original wooden support structure[3] which enables the ride to be much smoother than it was in previous seasons when it was a pure wooden roller coaster.[4] In addition to new track, the Texas Giant also received new trains and a new control system.[5] The coaster reopened to the public on April 22, 2011 as part of the park's 50th anniversary celebration.[6]

Yeah, the park will pay big $$$, but the woman should NOT have continued if she felt it was not secured.

I always wondered why some rollercoasters don't also have a seat belt along with the locking bar. Seems like such a simple extra security.

Great point. Every seat should have a manual restraint. Seems common sense to me.

Re: BREAKING: 1 Person Killed In Coaster Accident - Six Flags Over Texas
Brown said the woman had expressed concern to a park employee that she was not secured correctly in her seat.
“He was basically nonchalant,” Brown said. “He was, like, ‘As long as you heard it click, you’re fine.’ Hers was the only one that went down once, and she didn’t feel safe. But they let her still get on the ride.”
