I don't think the US is storing ANY of our oil preserves down in those caverns...because IF THEY WERE, then the US GOVERNMENT would be down there ALL OVER this sink.

They store stuff in them alright....but its stuff that doesn't matter in a monetary fashion...

Why in the world was this thread unpinned?

This is one of THE most important stories in America, totally ignored by the MSM, and you'd think a forum like this would keep this kind of story pinned.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43751579

Hopefully because people are starting on page 4 with Krispy71 and reading those posts all the way through. It takes a long time!

Perhaps the tidal motion has something to do with the Salinity? Fresh water, salt water ... Pulling on each other? Seems there would definitely be some sort of current.

If it's tidal then wouldn't there be a "high" tide and a "low" tide? The water level would rise in height over a 6?hour period then the lake level would drop to a low, then start rising again.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32281494

Hi AC 43751579,

Tnx for the reference hf

Fresh water mixt with salt water changes PH and the electrical field [thus magnetism] of that water ...
Depending on the other 'stuff' in the water [chemicals like dissolved corexit and other things like oil-bacteria and algae] this also influences the EM-field of water and its electrical charge.

I think you are right to suggest there has been "created" a current. The post on page 4 explains that too ...
Keep in mind this all is a deliberate created event. They need transportation-tunnels for their ultimate plan,
but I dont yet know for sure if they dont care about casualties [people and Nature] or that it slightly got more or less "exposed" [on top] by the 'sinkhole situation' ... But then again, there are suggestions that the Lake Peigneur-sinkhole disaster was a TEST ...

The tidal motion is a clue that it is linked and connected to a tidal water-source [which in this case is probably the GOM ...

I think that this is a unique situation and that high-tides and low-tides as we know them wouldnt be seen here, just slighty ... We have to keep in mind [imo] that it not only connected with the GOM, but also with aquafiers below ground which contribute their water to the sinkhole ...
this would give different and unique dynamics to the sinkhole.

Dont THINK, but DO RESEARCH and you will find out !
You would be surprised what you learned about the US-gvrmnt and Rand Corporation ...

Why, why, why do you think the media is silencing this ???

... exactly ...

Doesn't appear to be harmonic relationship between water movement (1.75hz) and seismic activity (4.5hz) since ratio (2.57) not an integer.

Found this on my search through the net :

TIDES

David Perkins, in a letter of his which appeared in the Vol. 1, No. 1 issue of ‘THE HOLLOW HASSLE’, told of a strange “breathing well” that drillers had broken into 17 miles east of Walsenberg, CO. Other strange occurrences had been found on the ranch or farm where the well was located, including unexplained cattle mutilations. Representatives from the Colorado School of Mines came out to investigate the well, which seemed to “breath” in and out with the rising and falling of the tides, and they excitedly suggested that a tunnel lay below which may have connected with a similar tunnel which the Colorado School of Mines had tracked from the Gulf of Mexico and as far as Oklahoma.

Re: Tidal waves at Louisiana sinkhole, now more than 500 feet deep
the thought had occurred to me that the reason there is tidal flow in the sinkhole is because the entire salt dome has been dislodged and the ocean tide from far away is swaying with it.

if something like that is the case, it would be reasonable to suggest that it will get worse due to surrounding ground saturating enough to allow a major collapse of the entire underground salt cavern structure.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22311894

after reading through this thread, i am convinced my scenario is more plausible than "the sinkhole is connected to the gulf, and that is why this is happening."

if it were connected, you would notice the water going up and down, and not back and forth.

there is one other suggestion i have; if there is a hole at the bottom of the sinkhole that is connected to the gulf and is under the influence of the tide, then what we may be seeing is not tidal flow, but when you pump a jet of water thru a hole at the bottom of a large body of water, it will force the debris at the surface to move away from where the water is coming from. as the water is sucked back into the [hole] at the bottom, the water would then rush back the other way.

it may be possible to determine the size of the hole at the bottom (if there is one) by figuring the true volume of the sinkhole, the run simulations of how much water it would take to make the seeming tidal movement from a hole that may be one foot across, two foot, five foot, etc... eventually you will come up with a plausible hypothesis.

Yes thats a good explanation and the logic style of TPTB ...
>> If there is something they dont want people/owners to know [or have their noses poking in], just give them a DISTRACTION that points to aliens !! [mutilation, or alien organism morphing around, abductions, etc ..] Loads of people will look disgusted by the mentioning of the word 'alien' and hook-off interest or will be treated as paira's/contagious/abnormal by the people around ----> Mission accomplished [for TPTB].

Creating a 'distraction' is so easy.
Remember that the military have technology that is far ahead of mainstream technology, and that the average 'Joe & Jane' will never believe or comprehend.
And the mass tends to look away from things that their brains can not grasp, and instead they swallow whatever story 'sounds' and 'is presented' as logical by the media.
Thus the distraction COVERS the real issue ... and for those who are indeed clever enough, they will be ridiculed at sites like this and others by shills paid by the alphabet agencies and Rand.

In the GOM with DWH in 2010 it was a spin-off that an ancient alien morphing organism was activated [in the seafloor and waters] with a mission to terraform Earth for its Masters from Space ... >>> THAT was the story that RAND had to/and did bring out.

With the reverse flowing of the Mississippi it was a huricane that was used as a distraction.

The accident with the RENA was a distraction.

I believe the tsunami's of Haiti and Japan were distractions, and as well a means to reach a goal.

The EQ in Christ-Church was a trigger and distraction ...

Etc,etc ...

The thing I don't recall being mentioned at all when it comes to this sinkhole destruction is what will happen to surrounding nuclear facilities when either the explosion, or new madrid quake, or both are triggered. I recall seeing a map of all of the nuclear plants a while back and want to say the whole east coast is littered with them. Could it be a Fukushima x100 on top of all of the damage done by the sinkhole?

I agree with you on many levels! Every single peice of news that is harped on in the media has more than one meaning. Gotta put bezerk goggles on to see the real meaning. GLP is the table to set all the puzzle peices on.

Like the Florida sinkhole that swallowed a man In his home, what else could that mean in the bigger picture? Also the "me tel u" thread here, what other meanings could "cosmic sonic boom" have with the real news story going on here.

Something else to consider is the incredible MAZE of gas pipelines running through the Texas, OK, AR, LA, etc. areas . . . Also, I should have included in my previous reply to Krispy, what real meaning does Mt. Popocatepetl erupting have? With the apparent UFO going into the volcano, I can see this is being connected to DWH, sinkhole and NMSZ.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18805834

I dont know about THAT eruption,
but on Bezerk we researched the possibility to trigger magma-flows and magma-chambers at a location to activate an event elsewhere.
Sometimes to "play into and create an event" and sometimes to make sure that enough of pressure is released to avoid disasters [building up pressure from beneath has to be ventilated otherwise you risk big boomz].

I'll have to disappoint you a bit about the UFO's ...
mmostly the bright white orbs seen hovering at and around volcano's are mostly NO UFO's .... They are PLASMA-orbs

[the same orbs that are seen around the sun, sometimes the size of Earth ... they are changes [anomalies] in the EM-field, gravitational field and even space-time field.]

It has to do with the demagnetization of magma, the changing EM-charges, ionized particles, etc ...
Plasma responds strongly to electromagnetic fields,
under the influence of a magnetic field, it may form structures such as filaments, beams and double layers, and even orbs.

The oil pumped up has a negative charge, and creates a specific magnetic field, but so does fresh water and salt water change the electric signature and the EM-fields ...
in the long run these colliding and interacting fields can trigger energetic particles in strata, and trigger fault-lines ...

When salty water flows through the magnetic field of area/ Body, an electric field is generated and this electric field again makes a magnetic field,...
--->>> make Salt-domes dissolve and have the salt water flow through area's and thus influence the magnetic field of that area, an electric field is generated [NEGATIVE by addition of "the negative charge of oil"] which creates again a magnetic field ... totally different.

[link to texasoilandmineral.com]
- Crude oil contains within its molecular structure an excess of negative charge. Because this charge is trapped within the bonding matrix, it is unable to discharge into the earth.
- All crude oil we know of contains a net negative charge which, we believe, is partially released during the production process and completely released during the refining process. This net negative charge causes significant problems for refineries, and they must spend millions of dollars on cathodic protection facilities in an effort to prevent the electrolysis and degradation of their equipment as electrons are freed by the refining process.
This net negative charge also polarizes the hydrocarbon molecules within the reservoir by setting up a responding positive charge in the beds above and below, and by re-orienting various bonding groups and molecules which have spatial net positive and negative charges. Resultant polarization causes further orientation of molecules and contributes to a potential field in the reservoir which radiates in all directions and can be measured at the surface.
- Anyone familiar with electronics or physics is familiar with the fact that a conductor such as metal can be introduced into an electric field and that simple introduction will create a responding and opposite polarization in the metal. Similarly, introducing an iron bar into a magnetic field will generate a responding temporary polarization and magnetization in the bar.

- The force we describe as a potential field appears to be related to electron spin orientation, made possible because the crude is liquid and mobile, and can therefore orient its molecules into the lowest energy state. As a result, the orientation of the massive number of bonds in a body of crude oil generates a secondary preferential spin field; essentially a magnetic field.

Crude oil is a strongly diamagnetic material, and it generates a weak vertical vector perturbation in the gross geomagnetic field.

I hope you see what I mean ...lol... ;)

For that poster that didnt believed that gas or oil or other things were stored in salt-domes :

Salt Caverns and Their Use for Disposal of Oil Field Wastes

In the United States, salt domes are found in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, and in the Gulf of Mexico.Salt caverns have been used to store various types of hydrocarbons since the 1940s. The types of products that have been stored in these caverns include liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propane, butane, ethane, ethylene, fuel oil, gasoline, natural gas, and crude oil. The largest underground storage operations in the United States are part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). The SPR currently stores about 560 million barrels of crude oil in 62 caverns located at four sites in Louisiana and Texas. Efforts are underway to add another 28 million barrels of crude oil to these sites.

Emergency crude oil is stored in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in salt caverns. Created deep within the massive salt deposits that underlie most of the Texas and Louisiana coastline, the caverns offer the best security and are the most affordable means of storage, costing up to 10 times less than aboveground tanks and 20 times less than hard rock mines. Strategic Reserve oil can be distributed through interstate pipelines to nearly half of the Nation's oil refineries or loaded into ships or barges for transport to other refineries.

HANDY TOOL :

Good Tool for Searching Well Data at Sinkhole

You need Google Earth to operate it but it is well worth it.

The hard working website administrator of CLIMATE VIEWER.com has really created a great research tool for sinkhole researchers. We have the link on our sidebar under “Seismic Monitoring” section. It is in a category all its own though. It shows wells, dump sites and lots, lots more. When you click on the icons they give details about what is there. Totally data infused for the Bayou Corne area.

All you do is install Google Earth then visit climateviewer.com.

Re: Tidal waves at Louisiana sinkhole, now more than 500 feet deep
There was a question >> if THIS like in BAYOU has ever happened before,
well in the article below is the answer given ...

You really have to read this article:
[link to theadvocate.com]

snips:
Courreges said that in the past, there have been instances where a cavern’s side got close to the salt dome edge and resulted in a leak but not the kind of side wall collapse suspected at Bayou Corne. He said the wealth of research worldwide focuses on the failure of cavern roofs, not walls.

Such a roof failure happened in 1954 at the Bayou Choctaw salt dome in Iberville Parish. According to Sandia reports, the failure caused a flooded surface sinkhole now known as Cavern Lake.

Pierre Bérest, director of research at the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Solides at École Polytechnique near Paris, said he knows of several salt caverns that collapsed from the top in Texas, Kansas, France and Algeria.
“However, I know of no cavern on the flank of a dome which collapsed, except of course the Bayou Corne cavern,” Bérest said in an email.

I saw you all talking about the depth of the sinkhole, and 500 was mentioned ...
but according to this text-fragment THE FRACTURE IS AT 5000 FEET !
(Other reports on the web state that 5000 square feet fell in on the southwest side.
I also read that Salt domes can be as deep as 10,000 feet)

Texas Brine’s Cartwright said that even after the 2010 study, his company had no reason “whatsoever” to believe the side wall of the cavern would collapse.
And conventional wisdom held that at those depths, about 5,000 feet, any rupture would be contained by the surrounding rock, he said.

(Expert: Over 200 million cubic feet of gas in area under giant Louisiana sinkhole
Don Marlin: Approximate volume in the 5 zones — the two probable ones are about 60 million cubic feet of gas; the 3 possible ones are 150 million cubic feet of gas. […])

I would like to see the measurements and the 3D image of this salt-dome !!!

Local vids of tidal waves were posted here a couple months ago, so this is an ongoing situation.
