Woman dies on roller-coaster @ Six Flags . . . was her weight a factor?
Did the worker not properly secure the harness?

Did the victim have the obligation to NOT ride when, according to witnesses, she KNEW it was not secured?

Was her obesity the real cause?

Should these rides have absolute weight restrictions?

Since her identity has not yet been released, why jump to conclusions unless this is a personal pet peeve of yours as it stands now the roller coaster worker neglected to secure the woman properly and when she voiced her concerns she was negated by another worker when she voiced her concerns this substantiated by witnesses.

Stick to details.

You know what I was thinking this...I was on a ride and the women in front of me was rather large..Her bar only clicked once and she freaked and they let her off. Mine clicked like 3 times.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Did you not read the story with her name and photo??!!

She was obese.

Sheesh.

If she KNEW the harness was not secure, SHE should not have let the ride proceed.

She was rather big. Poor woman. I can't imagine how she would be secure in a seat. Here is another photo showing more of her body.

I feel terrible for her family and that she died That said, it does appear she was too large to be secured properly. She told the ride attendant she did not feel safe, it should have been checked....other people witnessed her being blown off by the attendant. So this family will get a huge amount of money and we will all see weight restriction signs most likely.

One thing I dont understand....why are these parks too fucking cheap to just install harness type straps on all of these rides? Loop or no loop, a bad and a seatbelt is just stupid when NO ONE could come out of a harness. Its ridiculous. These rides never derail, they never crash. Someone falls out or someone gets hurt because they arent secured.

She is rounder than planet earth and just a tad smaller. I'm surprised we have not been sucked into her gravity before.

This is starting read more like a public service announcement.

She had a personal obligation to make sure she was secure. If a rider feels the harness is not tight and secure, they should never proceed with the ride.

Beyond that, while parks should implement restrictions, human beings need to understand that their obesity not only places them in danger for the mere fact they are obese, but they simply cannot engage in certain activities.

I remember when Six Flags used to be a big deal, when people were courteous, families made their kids behave, and the park was kept clean. Haven't been in 20 years and would not go due to morons, minorities, filth, rudeness, idiocy, and the insane fact that they allow drinking in the park.

"Amusement" parks are nothing but magnets for lowlifes.

While I feel bad for her family, I know that overweight people will be the first to cry discrimination if they're not allowed to do something that they feel they have the "right" to do.

Isn't it insane?

Got license to sell beer to be consumed only in "designated" areas - yeah, right . . . but at any rate, wouldn't you love to be on a wild ride, in the Texas heat, with idiots who are full of beer? Just makes the gross more gross.
