I remember when Six Flags used to be a big deal, when people were courteous, families made their kids behave, and the park was kept clean. Haven't been in 20 years and would not go due to morons, minorities, filth, rudeness, idiocy, and the insane fact that they allow drinking in the park.

"Amusement" parks are nothing but magnets for lowlifes.

Sort of like State Capitals eh?

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Yes, they've taken a turn for the worse. You can't enjoy a day with your family without Shanaynay and her fat ass litter cutting in the front of the line and giving everyone the "Ah don care. I do wha I want!" Then you have to watch the same fat asses shoving funnel cakes in their yaw while rap music is playing loudly from the rides.

Definately not the experience of the past.

Re: Woman dies on roller-coaster @ Six Flags . . . was her weight a factor?
I feel terrible for her family and that she died That said, it does appear she was too large to be secured properly. She told the ride attendant she did not feel safe, it should have been checked....other people witnessed her being blown off by the attendant. So this family will get a huge amount of money and we will all see weight restriction signs most likely.

One thing I dont understand....why are these parks too fucking cheap to just install harness type straps on all of these rides? Loop or no loop, a bad and a seatbelt is just stupid when NO ONE could come out of a harness. Its ridiculous. These rides never derail, they never crash. Someone falls out or someone gets hurt because they arent secured.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1860591

She had a personal obligation to make sure she was secure. If a rider feels the harness is not tight and secure, they should never proceed with the ride.

Beyond that, while parks should implement restrictions, human beings need to understand that their obesity not only places them in danger for the mere fact they are obese, but they simply cannot engage in certain activities.

That was a mechanical fail of the harness (a tragic one). If a harness is not well anchored or locked, the ride simply doesn't lift off.

About the obese people... well, that's right. They are exposing themselves in risky attractions conceived for standard weights and volumes...

That, plus the fact that society is overly concerned about walking on eggshells so as not to hurt feelings and offend people. Fact is, there are too damn many irresponsible and reckless people today who NEED to change their ways and tow the line, so too damn bad if they're insulted.

Come on people. She may not have been the most attractive woman on the planet but this is a sad story. Children watched their mother fall to her death.

OP it appears that her obesity was the primary cause of her not being able to properly fasten the harness which led to her flying out of the roller coaster.

If her obesity was so HUGE (able to break safety harnesses), maybe THEY should have warning her, or recommending her another alternative attraction or saying her directly to not use the ride because her own safety. Of course every ride has rules and restrictions, but the operators/attendants must use the common sense too facing "problematic" customers.
