We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.

Who knows where it will pop up first, I'll most likely see it filtered through the media data, I stay off twitter for the most part.

Yell if it comes up.

Never looked at Saturn with your own eyes? or mars or Venus? Earth is reflecting sun light, It is not a star. Also has to do with how particles are gathered by the camera and human eye.

Here was our last best picture of earth that I can find from 2007.

[link to www.earthobservatory.nasa.gov]

Remember the rings of Saturn along with the earth had to be in the correct position. Saturn is on almost a 30 year orbit.

Saturn from our point of perspective shows one side of its rings then slowly tips back to show the other side of the rings, remember when the rings diapered for 3 months in September of 2009.

Wish I could find the animation of the tilt of the ring from our view, it does exist.

Not 100% sure But I believe the sun is blocked out by Saturn

If the sun was in the pic it would drown out the light form earth. Kinda like looking for a candle next to a car headlight form a mile away through binoculars.

From all the models I see this seems to be the case.

Not in the mood to dig through hours of info though, someone on GLP knows the truth of the pic already I bet.

I look up at the sky, and wonder where I am on earth. Then I wonder where I am in the solar system. Then I wonder where I am in the galaxy. Then I wonder where I am in the universe.
