Lol, if that's a genuine picture then our current understanding of the moon - Earth relationship is completely wrong.
Let's go over the figures, the moon is 240,000 miles away from Earth.
Earth's diameter is 8000 miles.
Imagine for a second that a basketball is the Earth. To figure out where the moon would be, you would need to line up 30 basketballs touching eachother, and there would be the moon.
Ok, so with that current understanding, apply what you know to this picture. Does the moon look like it is 30 Earth diameters away from the Earth?

Both faulty assumptions. If you look at the Earth and Moon from a distance you COULD see the Moon 240,000 miles away or you COULD see it appear closer, or you COULD see the Moon in front of or behind the Earth.
