This is the reason for preference of virgins in ancient cultures. Vedics talk about imprint of the soul(group) imposed on a woman by her first man. Afterwards every child will incarnate from that mans spiritual branch/family.

There is even a whole discipline on how to break the bond on non-virgins. Apparently after 5 men, its nearly impossible to do.
