Can someone explain GMO/Monsanto to me?
Whats the deal? I see posts about GMO seeds and other things GMO and Monsanto. I dont really want to start any new research at the moment, so if i could just have a brief description of why they are so bad?

From what I understand Monsanto has added 9 unapproved new proteins into their GMOs to inhibit insect consumption (in lieu of "fogging insecticide"), to promote growth, and to produce non "seed-bearing" crops.

The 9 untested proteins when consumed by humans have been directly related to everything from childhood allergies and disease, to anaphylaxis.

So it is the pesticide that put in the GMO to ward off insects and pests to keep from having the farmers do it them selves?

And we are somehow affected by this? Cancer, birth defects, etc..?

from my research on health and the nature of reality tells me it may be like putting a square peg in a round hole, when you eat gmos...

your body is sacred geometrically... this is what da vinci's vitruvian man was saying, in part....

on a molecular level, it is all geometry synching up between proteins and the receptor cells... see Bruce Lipton's Biology of Belief for more on this...

gmos are toxic geometry...

the pesticide is said to kill our digestive bacteria and cause all kinds of problems...

worse, is that cutting edge organic farming is far superior in nutrient levels, taste and production... even shelf-life is longer with organic produce grown with the most advanced methods starting to be employed on massive farms in some countries...
sonic bloom is an example of this type of agriculture

Instead of spraying the insecticide on the plants, they put it in the plants DNA. So you get the pleasure of eating insecticide with every bite of food.

Then they went after all other seed companies with their lawyers, and destroyed small farmers.

In the quest for a good herbicide. They found glyphosate, aka roundup. It affects a gene(protein) in plants. All other life forms do not have this gene. There are only a very few species of plants that do not have it also.

Spray glyphosate (aka Roundup) on a plant. the plant absorbs it, the chemical glyphosate attachs to the gene (a protein) and the plant dies. (in a nutshell) you can find the literature to find out more detail if you wish. So now we have a near universal herbicide. However we don't want the Crop be it corn, soy, wheat, rice to die, just the weeds. So they modify the genes of the crop so that the crop can withstand the herbicide glyphosate aka roundup.

That is it. nothing more nothing less. the soy, corn etc have been genetically modified to resist the chemical glyphosate aka roundup.

Also you should know the FDA now leaves the safety testing of new GMO food up to Monsanto, bear in mind monsanto has been found guilty of falsifying scientific studies before.

so they add genes to food that will make the plants produce insecticides, often the genes are totaly forieng to that species, they will use genes from octopuses, and put them in corn if that what will produce the chemical.

Its not just that they also make Round-up resistant crops, so you can now eat soya that has grown in a field full of poison, yummy, (oh bty 90% of soy is now GM and monsantoe own something like 80% of the world GM food patents, They also own 1/3 of the world seed production and are seeking and outright monopoly on the seed supply).

Monsanto have a lobyist in the whitehouse, they have ex monsanto guys as judges in courts, they have infiltrated bought and paid for many people in many governments.

Have a read about the history of the company on wikipedia, they started of producing Defolients to kill crops and large areas of forest during the vietnam war, the Agent orange they created is still causing birth defects i believe, Then they made DDT and Round-up. They poisened a whole village / small town in the US with some of the chemicals they were producing. and now they want to control the worlds food supply.

The EU recently passed legislation which makes all seeds illegal to sell unless they have been registered with them, because of the outrage it caused they put in exemptions for gardeners and small seed banks but they are still enforcable for very small companies selling heirloom, organic seeds. tell me this isnt leading somewhere very tyranical and nasty?

Re: Can someone explain GMO/Monsanto to me?
Here's the total reason, and goal of genetically altering food.

First, GMO's combine genes from one living creature, into a food crop to be grown. It doesn't mean they take genes from other vegetables, grains or fruits, it could be rodents, insects, fish, or mammal genes.

They then splice them into the organism they're trying to create, hoping to get a desirable reaction. The problem is that it's not this "Specific" and the whole process is marred with unpredictability. To further the problem, these genes are known to mutate randomly, so there's no telling what they are capable of especially after generations, and many further mutations.

Once a company creates a crop with DNA from another living thing, it can now patent it as a "new" crop. With patenting comes licensing the crops to farmers, who are forced to pay massive prices for the seeds, and aren't allowed to save them (must buy new ones each year, abandoning thousands of years of selective breeding done for FREE by farmers).

If a GMO crop contaminates a neighbors NON-GMO crop, MONSANTO or other GMO companies can SUE the farmer of the NON-GMO crop who is the victim, for patent infringement. Since they have both a team of lawyers, as well as military contractors working for them, the poor farmers are forced to back down, pay huge fines, and continue on their life destroyed by the ordeal.

=========
GOAL #1: Control the worlds food supply by limiting its use through patents, and to control farmers.

=========

From there we have the health consequences. Some GMO's like BT CORN, produce their own pesticide in the tissue. This pesticide is then ingested by humans and cattle causing massive damage.

GMO's have been linked to infertility, organ failure, and cancer. They hide the dangers by being in bed with the FDA, and all studies are very limited in time usually only 3 months, so after 3 months, these newly invented crops become the GLOBAL FOOD SUPPLY.

Round-up ready crops have been engineered to resist monsanto's other lethal product glychophosphate herbicide (round up). This poison is used to kill weeds in the crops, while leaving the round up ready crops safe. This leads to absolute saturation of the field with this lethal herbicide, polluting the ground, water, and air around the field, as well as the health of all farmers. Once in the ground this herbicide is then ingested by the plants and deposited into the tissue for whoever eats it.

The first full 2 year study of rats fed BT corn, and round up ready corn found ALL test subjects died prematurely. Primary cause was MASSIVE tumors so big the rats could hardly walk.

=========

GOAL #2: Population control

=========

Finally, food is the greatest weapon on Earth. A gun can only kill so many, a bomb can only kill so many, but if you can deprive a continent of food, you can wipe out millions, or even hundreds of millions.

What's worse, is if that food actually poisons those people slowly so that years down the road they develop grapefruit sized tumors all over their body and drop dead. "CANCER" claims another victim. Nope, big pharma and big agra claim another victim is more accurate.

Now if you have ever wondered where they get all those poor animals with cancer to do the cancer research on, you'll be surprised to find out that they create the cancer in cancer research lab animals. How do you intentionally create specific cancers in a lab animal? You inject pesticides into the organ you want to develop cancer.

So what do you think it is doing to us, when we are eating food that literally produces its own pesticide? What is it doing to us to have our food and fields saturated with a proven to be lethal herbicide? The FDA just RAISED the "allowable limits" of the herbicide round up residue on fresh food. LUCKY US!

Anyone who cares about humanity, should be against genetically modifying any food.
