that's far from scientific. The weight of the line itself could seem like it wasn't on the bottom.

Get a sonar reading from a depth finder and I will accept that more than this.

I skipped thru the video but didn't see where he showed how long the line was. Could have missed it.

I'm sure it's deep but how deep I don't think we can say until we get something more concrete

I would think that after a couple hundred feet, the cable weight would be enough to pull the rest of the spool.

He should have used string or cord.
