Brief is right. You shoot and wound them, then you will be sued and lose everything. And, if they trick you into stating that you intended to actually kill him but maimed instead, then you are gone for attempted murder. If you are defending yourself from an attack, and in this case by someone with a weapon, then they need to wake on the other side of the dirt. |

When he lashed out at her, did he have reason to fear for his life -- was he the one standing HIS ground, albeit foolishly given she had the superior weapon. South + black = automatically screwed. The man approached with a knife and umbrella. He made threatening gestures and possibly remarks that made her take the gun out of her trunk for protection. She used it when he was stupid enough to swing the knife at her after he wouldn't back off. Justified. Definitely won't see as much court time, PEOPLE (all races) don't care about black on black crime. They only care when it's one race killing another race. |
