Sledster User ID: 30917618 United States 07/23/2013 06:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Harmon Kardon T403 Tuner, A402 amp and a pair of EPI TE/100's. Old junky CD player. These things rock my little listening room. Quoting: Sledster And yeah OP, Tool rocks! I have an HK receiver as well, great piece of hardware. Trying to figure out what to do w/ it after I went w/ the Marantz separates. I may power some outdoor speakers with it (they're Bose...yuk). Never trust a speaker manufacturer that won't publish specs! Have a ton of other hardware as well, HK430, HK730, large stack of DBX XG Digital series stuff, a nice pair of Cizek speakers, a set of Bose 501 series 3 speakers that I use on the deck..etc etc..but I mostly use the HK seperates and cd player or my T7 turntable. I'm tired of waiting, somebody push the damn button already! Keep your 72 virgins, give me one old biker chick. |

You are wasting your time with CD. Vinyl all the way. Best production [link to www.youtube.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13967411 WOW! Magnepan, so epic! Yes, damn it - VINYL! How I can burn a friggin CDR that sounds better than a bought CD is beyond me. We've been lied to! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 43844538 United States 07/23/2013 06:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43844538 Ya know, I just love GLP's insight. Audio snobs are everywhere, I don't count myself among them, that's why I started this thread. I'm curious, is your preferred encoding still DTS? I prefer lossless myself, DVD-A or blu-ray if possible! What's the last great listen you had, AC? DTS Master, hard to find with live stuff, was a concert DVD freak until the net started taking over, most stuff I get now is downloaded as soon as it hit's youtube. Have a few great titles that were pulled real quick. Example, Guns N' Roses@2012-05-31 Arena, London@Full HD. Sweet. |

I listen in the car and living room. My tube setup for vinyl is just to convert them to digital hi-res. |

With DVD-in-motion you can have audio and video in the front seats. lol |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 43454936 United States 07/23/2013 06:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, and i'll top you with: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43901661 A randall 200 watt halfstack Digitech Whammy Dunlop CFH Washburn Slime Bc Rich warlock custommade Yamaha Studio 112 Gibson LP white pearl 500 watt CWR Bassamp Rickenbacher and a harmonica, and gues what, i sing too ya got great stuff though Nice! I'm a player, too - got me a Jackson soloist last year and a 2x12 Genz-Benz combo. How's the BC? I've always wondered about them. Lusting for your Randall! My Pop has a black '72 LP custom and a '54 Telecaster....smoothest neck ever on the Tele & the LP may be the easiest guitar to play, ever! That combo is sweet!! The BC, it was the guiatr of the universe when i was 16....basicly it's shit man, the wood's not even that heavy, while they say it's mahogany, this is not the case with BC, my best advice, if you like pointy guitars, jackson/dean/old 90's washburns are the way to go, sat away from BC-rich, unless it's a pre 90's mockingbird with neck thru, most of them are red with a black lining, those rock! the rest=garbage You know, I just always discounted BC's because I couldn't sit down and play them, much like Gibson's Flying V (which I lusted after as a kid). I loved my Charvel Model 6 which got stolen shortly after I bought it...I guess the Jackson makes up for it :) |

No kit you have to get all the parts, even make your own circuit board ( not all that hard ). The power transistors can be had for free as samples from the manufacturer. The electronics should be around 75 - 100 The case can be whatever mine is in a modded plexiglass printer stand with oak sides so I can see inside. |
